Weston was our championship game MVP for his pitching in the game. Not only was he our starting pitcher in the championship game he held it down the behind the plate when he wasn’t pitching.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗚𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻! Brody Ruiz & Kaser Gerdel competed in the first stop of the West Texas Junior Champions Tour Fall Tour at The Hideout in Brownwood and both young men came away with the win in their respective age divisions!

Brody shot a 9-hole round of 40 (5 over par) to capture the win in the 10-12 Boys Division and Kaser shot a round of 84 on the 18-hole course at 12 over par.

These two young men weren’t back in Gatesville anytime at all and they were meeting back up here at GCC to hit the course! Keep grinding towards greatness, young men! You sure make all of us proud!

Help us congratulate Brody & Kaser! Their next tour stop is Oct. 11th in Abilene. If any other junior golfers are interested in the fall tour, you can visit West Texas Junior Champions Tour for membership and tournament info.

Thank you to everyone who joined Gatesville Parks and Recreation for our 9/11 Memorial 5K Glow Run at North Fort Hood!

A special thank-you to Gatesville H-E-B for providing hydration, fruit, snacks, and prizes to support our runners!

To the troops at North Fort Hood, thank you for your service and for spending the evening with us as we remembered and honored those lost on September 11, 2001. We are grateful for the opportunity to provide recreation, connection, and a little fun for the men and women who serve our country.
