Iβve been dealing with some lower back pain for a while now, so I finally got it checked out and got my X-ray results back...
Turns out I have a small stress fracture/defect in my L5 vertebra, which has caused a slight forward slip at L5-S1. Iβve also got some wear and tear in the disc down there. Thankfully, itβs mild and the doctor said surgery isnβt expected to be necessary.
So now Iβm adjusting my training instead of stopping.
Iβm going to focus on strengthening my core, improving my mobility, and avoiding a lot of the bending, twisting, and movements that aggravate my lower back while I let it heal. And honestly, this is just another reminder that pushing through doesnβt always mean doing more. Sometimes pushing through means being smart enough to adjust. Itβs frustrating, obviously. But this is where Iβm at right now, so Iβm going to work with it instead of letting it stop me. Iβll adjust, recover, and keep moving forward π«‘
