I am taking a limited amount of clients as I head into the fall season. Any new clients will be affected by the new price until gas prices stay down further than they are now. Again, taking in LIMITED clients as of right now. If you are not sure if I travel to a certain area feel free to message me and I will get back to you as soon as I can(please note that I have been fairly busy this past month so I am not sure how soon I will be able to message back so keep in mind I may not answer right away).

Hello everyone, with this week being fair week at the Otsego County Fair (Ga***rd, Michigan) I will be offering any services(resetting a shoe or rasping out a hoof that may have chipped or cracked during the week). I am available throughout the week and I will be running my craft booth(Kats Korner Art) if you need me in person.

With the weather being in the mid 80s and up it’s impossible to not only make sure your horse is getting the hydration they need for their body(you can also give them electrolytes like a Gatorade to help them or a horse specific electrolyte to help them get back what they could lose in sweat) but also making sure their hooves are getting the hydration they need. Putting on hoof dressing whenever you are able to(even on the underside) or even making the area in front of their water trough wet enough to make a little mud will help keep the moisture well balanced in their hooves and make it so they don’t crack as bad or get weather cracks(surface cracks that don’t go all the way through the hoof wall and can be rasped/sanded off) that bad. Stay safe in the heat and stay hydrated

Hello Everyone, due to rising gas prices I will have to increase my prices a little bit. I will tell you at the appointment what the new price will be(don’t worry, if you have an appointment already made it will be at the old price and new price will take effect the next appointment). Hopefully gas prices will go down soon and we can get back to the original price. I wish I didn’t have to increase the price at this moment but it is necessary at this time. Looking to add more clients this year. I am currently serving Northern Michigan all the way from Trout Lake, Moran, Kinross and surrounding areas in the Upper Peninsula all the way down to West Branch and everything in between from Petoskey to Rogers City, Alpena and surrounding areas. Feel free to message me on this page or Call/Text me at (989)858-2005 for more information on what I do and how far I go. I offer Basic Cold Shoeing, Shoe Resets, Shoe Pulling and basic trimming. I graduated from the Oklahoma Horseshoeing School - OHS in 2021 from their 2 week Basic and again in 2023 from their 12 week Advanced Course. I do draft horses(trim only, stocks are a plus as I do not have a travel stock), donkeys(mini,standard and mammoth), horses/minis, Mules(trim only) and goats(message for more details).

You may see a new face along for a ride this summer. Meet Jorge the corgi. He is learning that being in the front seat means traveling(he usually sits in the back seat). But don’t worry you will still see Daisy from time to time for those who have seen and met her, she is just starting to feel her age and her back issues so she will be at home a little more for the sake of not hurting her back more.

HH Farrier Service is looking to add more clients to the roster. With the weather heating up, hooves will starting to grow a little faster. With the start of show season coming up I will be looking to add more shoeing clients to my roster. I have been servicing Northern Michigan since November of 2021 and have been doing farrier work full time. I am available during weekends AND weekdays and flexible. I had graduated from the Oklahoma Horseshoeing School - OHS in October of 2021 from their 2 week basic course and had been trimming since. I had gone back in September of 2023 and had then completed their 12 week Advanced Course in November and had since added shoeing to my services. As of right now I only offer cold shoeing until I am able to get a mobile forge set up. (Please note that I do not do therapeutic work at this time due to resources and planning on only doing shoeing and trimming). I have been around horses my whole life and am a second generation farrier in the family.
