Meet Tim Massie, coach of our U16 Boys Red team!

Tim’s playing career included Aviators Soccer Club, Team Dayton—where he became an Ohio State Champion and national runner-up—Indiana Wesleyan University and the Grand Rapids Explosion of the USISL.

Coaching since 1996, Tim brings nearly three decades of experience to Forge, including 21 years with Campton United. He holds a USSF National D License.

Tim believes soccer gives players the freedom to express themselves individually while learning how to work collaboratively as a team.

“Take risks, dream big, learn from your struggles and enjoy the journey. Soccer is bigger than a game. Some players may become professionals, while others become doctors, lawyers or teachers—but the lessons learned through soccer last forever.”

During Forge’s inaugural season, Tim is excited to see coaches and players from different clubs come together to strengthen the game throughout our community.

FUN FACT: Tim has played soccer in 16 countries across four continents! 🌎

Forge Community Fall Session

Registration is open for the Forge Community Fall Session! Players will develop their skills in a positive, team-focused environment with two weekly practice options and Saturday games.

📅 September 7–October 17

Practice options:

⚽ Mondays at 4:30 or 6:00 PM
📍 Dean & Peck Park

⚽ Wednesdays at 4:30 or 6:00 PM
📍 East Side Sports Complex

Saturday games will be played between 12:00 and 4:00 PM at Dean & Peck Park.

For Coach Taylor Ortiz, soccer is a powerful tool for developing the qualities young athletes need far beyond the field—confidence, discipline, teamwork, resilience and character.

As coach of our U8 Boys Red, U9 Girls Red and U14 Boys Red teams, Taylor is committed to helping every player grow in the game while learning what it means to be a great teammate, leader and person.

Our U19 Strikers have earned their spot in the US Club Soccer National Championship after an incredible performance!

They finished group play as champions, outscoring their opponents 14-1, and now have one final challenge ahead.

Tomorrow morning, they’ll take the field with a national title on the line.
