These Pioneers are making HISTORY!!!
🏈 Pioneers WIN at Prairie Grove! They clinched the opportunity to HOST a playoff game at Pioneer Stadium on Nov. 13 (opponent TBD) for the first time in, well, a very long time.
First things first, though. The 8-1 Pioneers travel to Gravette next week in a game that will determine playoff seeds.
This game tonight was incredible! Gentry trailed 28-7 at halftime but stormed back to tie the game at 28 in the fourth quarter and ultimately go up 35-28. The Tigers came back and scored with 1:47 left in the game and converted on a 2-point conversion to lead 36-35.
But CJ Bolinger returned the kickoff all the way back to Prairie Grove’s 27 yard line and a few plays later Gentry quarterback Semmie Guenther scored on a 28-yard scramble, and the Pioneers led 43-36 after our own two-point conversion. As PG tried to come back, Bolinger intercepted a Tiger pass with :18 seconds left to seal the victory.
Congratulations Coach Clark and our Mighty Pioneers!
