If anyone has been like, "Huh, Pointe Speed Photography has been absent from providing images for the RUSH Sprint Car Series. I wonder where she has been."

She's been missing the dirt, but learning on the field!

Over the summer, I was interviewed and got the position of a Student Photographer for my college, and I absolutely LOVE IT! I was afraid I'd never find a job I genuinely love, and I was nervous I'd ruin my love of photography by trying to make it a job. However, this job completely dissolved that fear. I get so many cool opportunities to learn and grow in this position, and I genuinely can't wait for the next assignment after we finish one.

I definitely miss the tracks and being there to support and watch my brother shine, but I'm proud to say I am learning so much to provide him and the other Rush Sprint Drivers with amazing creative photos! ❤️

RUSH Sprint Car Series

Feature Race

After the redraw, Wyatt would start 4th in this feature. The track is still slick, but had started "taking rubber" in some areas creating some spots with more grip.

Off the green he quickly overtook 3rd. At one point he got passed and was able to reclaim 3rd in a lap or so. Then he went to work hunting down the top 2. A mid-race caution helped and he passed for 2nd within a couple laps of the green dropping again. Now he had about 7 laps to catch the 1st spot. He was able to shorten the gap, but just ran out of laps. He finished 2nd.

Not to bad for a season we felt like we struggled trying to learn more about car set-up and adjustments to accommodate changing track conditions!

RUSH Sprint Car Series

Heat Race #1

It's our last race event of the season & Mother Nature tried to ruin it for us again! But, the team at Lernerville said not this weekend...

Although our heat races were rained out Friday night, the team at the track had already planned to use Sunday as a makeup day and push all racing out a day if needed.

Wyatt had a great pill draw pulling the 1 which started him on the pole of heat #1. Saturday was cold and the track was like a sheet of ice. We have to give a shout out and thanks to the "Steel City Outlaw," Tim Shaffer! Slick tracks aren't Wyatt's most favorite. But, after talking with Tim and picking his brain on various things, Wyatt made some adjustments to the car in hopes they would help in these conditions.

At the green flag, he fell to 2nd while he figured out the car's handling, determined the best line and proper throttle control. It took several laps and he was able to overtake 1st and run the rest of the race there to finish 1st!

Word on the track is all heats will be happening tomorrow (10/17) starting @ 4 and feature races on Sunday starting @ 1.

Thanks go to all track personnel & Lernerville Speedway for being so determined not to let Mother Nature win for this last race of the season!!

T - 2 days before we launch into our final racing event of the season, the Steel City Stampede at Lernerville Speedway!!

This is always a great event with great racing and great people and we can't wait to get out there with our RUSH Sprint Car!

It's been a challenging season and we're hoping for a great finish. Hope to see you all at the track!
