Interested in joining the Gettysburg Sharks Swim Team? Meet the Sharks is a great opportunity for new swimmers and families to meet some of our coaches, learn about the team, and see what being a Shark is all about!
While Head Coach Megan Maslowski meets with parents to talk about the Sharks, what to expect during the season, and answer questions, Coach Kelly and Coach Carrie will be on deck working with the swimmers in the water.
During the pool portion, our coaches will get to know your swimmer and see what they can do in the water.
New swimmers ages 8 & under should be able to swim one length of the pool (25 meters) in both freestyle and backstroke.
New swimmers ages 9 & older should be able to swim two lengths of the pool (50 meters) in both freestyle and backstroke.
We would also LOVE to see any other skills your swimmer knows—breaststroke, butterfly, dives, flip turns, etc.—but these skills are NOT required!
Our coaches will use the tryout to determine if your swimmer is ready to join the Sharks and where they would best fit within our program.

There is NO fee to attend Meet the Sharks, but we do ask that families register ahead of time.
