The start of our summer tournament season is this weekend, and I couldn't be more proud of this group of girls.

In today's softball world, there's a lot of focus on rankings, exposure, and playing at the next level. There's nothing wrong with that, but that's not necessarily what defines us.

We're a group of girls who simply love playing softball. They show up ready to work, compete hard, support one another, and have fun doing it. Some may have goals of playing at the next level, others may not—but what they all share is a love for the game and pride in competing together.

As a coach, it's been especially meaningful to be part of this group over the past 3-4 seasons. For many of these players, we've shared years of growth, challenges, and successes together, and watching them develop both on and off the field has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. At the same time, the commited players who have joined us along the way have helped shape who we are today, and this year's group is stronger because of each person's contributions. Watching this team come together, compete, and build something special has been an incredible privilege.
