SEARCHING FOR OUR NEW (FOUR LEGGED) COLLEAGUES:

Black Dog Stables in Gibsonia, Pa is looking for 1-2 new school horses to join our program!

WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Patient, forgiving horses who can safely and soundly walk, trot, canter. We are open to reasonable maintenance (we should own stock in Equioxx) and understand that with age comes experience.

We have the budget to purchase, but would REALLY like to be able to bring possible horses here to ensure they enjoy the job. We would be very open to care leases (Anyone going off to college looking for somewhere for their horse to hang out? Anyone up to their eyeballs in work or young children and needing somewhere for their horse to get some exercise, love, and attention?)

We’d also be interested in lease-to-own situations or purchasing after a trial period (we are happy to insure horses while they are with us) in order to ensure that the horse and our program are a good match.

ABOUT US: Our beginner hunter/jumper program focuses on building strong foundations in new riders. We prioritize the health and well being of our horses, who generally do one lesson 5-6 days a week. Our horses enjoy daily turnout, top feed and supplements, varying types of maintenance, and excellent care - we would be happy to provide vet and farrier references. We have two horses here who have been on years-long care leases with us as well (one belongs to a local vet), and we keep our retirees and semi-retirees with us here on the farm - we’re a lifelong home.

We know we’re looking for something fairly unconventional, but our very best horses in the program have been leads from friends, so we’re hoping that our connections in the horse world can help us find our new co-workers!
