Armed Women of America is proud to launch , our month-long training challenge as part of the global initiative. It's an opportunity to sharpen your skills, support AWA's mission, and show the country the dedication of trained, armed women.

The goal? 100 MILLION live fire and dry fire shots recorded worldwide during September!

Every shot matters, and we need your help. Join the challenge, invite your chapter members, friends, and family to participate, and follow along with our daily dry fire training videos all month long.

Let's train with purpose, inspire others, and make this the biggest yet!

A message from our club President, Tony Worland.

On September 15th, we will be electing new officers and board members. Currently there are two open positions; we need a new treasurer and a new membership secretary.
Looking ahead to that election, I would like to identify any members who might be interested in serving in these board level positions.
If these opportunities interest you, please let me know. I would be happy to discuss the particulars in more detail.

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Judi Holley for her exceptional service and dedicated leadership as the Chair of the Rifle/Pistol Range at the Gig Harbor Sportsman’s Club. Judi’s commitment to safety, community engagement, and the continuous improvement of our range facilities has left a lasting, positive impact on our club and all of its members. As Judi steps down, we are incredibly pleased to welcome Mark Tegard, who will be stepping into the role of Rifle/Pistol Range Chair in the interim. We appreciate Mark’s willingness to lend his expertise and leadership during this transitional period, and we look forward to working together to maintain the high standards of safety and camaraderie that define our club.

Today, we celebrate the enduring freedoms and rich heritage of our great nation—values that deeply connect our community of outdoor and shooting sports enthusiasts. Whether you are spending the holiday around a backyard barbecue, watching local fireworks, or enjoying some quiet time out on the ranges, we are incredibly grateful for your continued membership, camaraderie, and dedication to safety. Thank you for making our club part of our community, and have a spectacular and proud Independence Day!
