Dude, how in the world did this happen? I still remember the little girl who always knocked over our jenga game…. and the one who always wanted to swim and play games in the pool. (Honestly, we’d probably still do that) 😂😂

Noa, you are kind and thoughtful, you love animals like no one I’ve ever met… you always seek the good in a situation and you get along with everyone. I see Jesus in you… AND that is the biggest thing I love about you. Am I biased? Maybe slightly 😂😂😂

World Cancer Day

So what exactly do I have to say today?

I am doing very well. I feel great, I travel, I play pickle ball, do everything and anything I want with the exception of say, hiking Mt. Everest 😂😂

But, I am very blessed. I’ve lost a few friends with the last year. It’s very hard to see friends die who have the same disease you do.

We all hate cancer so let’s talk about the things that having cancer may have caused someone to do that they may not have done when they thought “they had forever” which is a lie btw.

Saying YES more
Learning learning learning … knowledge is food
Boundaries. Make them… fast.
Risks. This is the one area I wish I had done more of during my life.
Learn to be hospitable to EVERYONE.
Invite invite invite
Rest when you need to.
Listen to your body.

May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob be the One you run to ALWAYS. 2025 was full of blessings, fun, laughter, travel, excitement, experiences galore, new beginnings and lots of grief.

We learned a lot in 2025. We saw the good side of humanity and the bad side, how uncaring people can be.

God has brought us through it all. He provided resources and the way to navigate it successfully. That’s why in 2026, we will keep running boldly to the throne of grace.

We pray that your 2026 is covered in prayer,HOPE, love and joy. That you appreciate each and every “moment” you’re given.. because they are all gifts. Every single day is like Christmas, a gift to you and an opportunity for you to be the giver to someone else by example, help, knowledge or simply being you. Sharing your story and listening to others is the BEST.

What I learned in 2025:

Behavior is ALWAYS intentional
Doing less IS doing MORE
Nobody can MAKE you do anything
Fear is poison
Life is meant to be lived to the fullest
You owe nobody .. not one single thing
If you expect it from me.. you can surely be guaranteed not to get it. I love to give when I want to, not when it’s expected.

2025 taught me many many more things and I look forward to 2026 with HOPE and great experiences.

Thank you God for allowing me to live and learn and grow.

2026 Resolution

Everybody has some.. lose weight, build muscle, spend less, save more, make more, travel more … you know the drill. I have ALL of those cuz you know I’m operating from YOLO mode.

I have set many boundaries lately and for a people pleaser.. boundaries are HARD.

My counselor calls me a “disciple of joy” which I love. There is one thing that has been stealing my joy and she has made me promise to rectify this issue.

Here is is: EXPECTATIONS of others.

Expecting me to plan everything.
Expecting me to buy everything.
Expecting me to PAY for everything, every time.

In order for me to keep the JOY of giving, I have to stop these expectations. When others expect me to do something, it no longer brings me joy and it’s no longer a gift.

This will be my BIGGEST challenge for 2026 but I plan to jump in full force because the loss of joy and anxiety it has caused is not worth my health.

The choice to give when I want to will be mine.

My word for 2026 is HOPE.

Without Hope. I have nothing.
