Yesterday, September 3rd during a JV golf match, a individual report was made of a possible gunshot heard near Hole #2. Out of an abundance of caution, the golf course and match were immediately cleared while New Hanover Township Police investigated.

Police checked the surrounding area, spoke with multiple nearby residents who were outside directly near to the area, and found no evidence of an incident or gunshots at all. The area was determined to be safe, and play resumed approximately 30–40 minutes later.

The safety of our golfers, guests, and staff is always our highest priority, and we appreciate everyone’s cooperation while the situation was thoroughly checked.
