SUNDAY REFLECTION | NOVEMBER 1

This past week has given me a lot to think about. Between the heartbreaking news in our rodeo community, conversations surrounding animal welfare, and some things I’ve personally wrestled with, I’ve spent some time reflecting, praying, and going back to God’s Word.

There’s a lot more to what we do than what people see.

Today, I wanted to share a little of my heart, what God has been reminding me, and why this journey means so much to our family.

You may not agree with everything I share, and that’s okay. But I hope you’ll take a few minutes to listen with an open heart.

Sometimes there’s a whole lot more to the story than what we see on the surface.

This is how we celebrate Halloween at 5F Bucking Bulls! The first annual Halloween Spooky Bull Bash was so fun and such a huge success! Thank you all for coming out and joining in the fun with us! We will do this again next year!

To go along with our behind the scenes look at our family and what we do and why we do what we do, We are wanting to share something a little different with you.

Introducing Rodeo Mom Diaries | From My Side of the Arena.

After years of being a rodeo mom, watching our boys grow up in this sport, and being involved in the rodeo world from behind the chutes, I’ve realized there are so many stories that don’t always get told.

The nerves, the sacrifices, the lessons, the friendships, the animals, and all the moments that happen beyond those few seconds in the arena.

This is a place where I hope to share some of those experiences, offer a little encouragement, and maybe give people a different perspective on the sport and way of life that means so much to our family.

For my first entry, I’m sharing a little about Gavin’s first PRCA event from earlier this year and something it made me realize about what our kids experience when they’re the ones standing behind the chutes.

Because sometimes we parents get so caught up in watching, worrying, and waiting that we forget they’re the ones living that moment.

We may be watching from our side of the arena. They’re living it from theirs.
