Caisen Schilling commits to Bushnell University
The Riders Baseball program is proud to announce that Riders senior standout Caisen Schilling has committed to play college baseball at Bushnell University in Eugene, Oregon. Bushnell’s baseball program began in 2022 and competes in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. In the five years the program has existed, they have already found consistent success. Last season they finished 26-26 overall, and 17-20 in conference play. In 2025, they finished 32-20 overall.
Bushnell Head Coach Jamie Womack on Schilling: “We’re really excited about Caisen. We think he’s got a chance to come in and make an impact as a true freshman. He first popped up on our radar at the Baseball Northwest Championships. We then had him to our prospect camp in September and that confirmed our desire to have him apart of our program. We got to spend some time getting to know him and his family and know that they’re a Beacon family through and through.”
Schilling will be entering his 3rd year as a Varsity starter on the Riders. In 2025 as a junior, he was a key contributor on the Riders State Championship team, both on the mound and behind the plate. He finished with a 7-3 record on the mound with a 3.20 ERA. In 2026, Schilling was the ace of the Riders pitching staff, finishing the year with a 10-7 overall record and a 2.33 ERA. He led the pitching staff in innings pitched (84.2) and strikeouts (77). Schilling also had a huge summer at the dish, hitting .335. He led the team in home runs (5) and RBI (59).
Coach Perleberg on Schilling: Caisen has been a model player and person in our program. He is a team-first guy, who loves Riders baseball. He brings so many intangibles day in and day that make our team and program better. He has a blue collar work ethic in everything that he does and can be found most nights in our Indoor Facility. To be great, you have to fall in love with the process and Caisen truly embraces the grind. Next, Caisen competes to win at everything. I love Caisen’s bulldog mentality, and watching him compete his tail off every single pitch is special. When Case is on the hill or at the dish, you like your chances. The best is still in front of Caisen and I can’t wait to watch him this summer and into his college years. It’s bittersweet having the last Schilling brother, as they all hold such a special place in my heart.
Caisen will graduate in May of 2026 from Thunder Basin High School. The Riders Baseball family would like to congratulate Caisen on his signing and thank him for his years of dedication and commitment. Caisen is the son of Trevor and Jodi Schilling and has two brothers, former Riders standouts Cory and Riley.
