🇺🇸 25 YEARS LATER…

September 11th is personal for us.

Coach Joe O’Brien, our founder, was a senior in high school when 9/11 happened. Shortly after graduating, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, became a Combat Engineer, and before long was shipped off to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

We are incredibly grateful that he made it through, came home, and is here with us today.

We're grateful to have such a fearless leader guiding our girls both on and off the field. To know a patriot. To know a warrior. To witness the good Coach Joe continues to bring into this world despite the ugliness he faced and the loss he endured is truly humbling.

And maybe the best way we can honor those we lost—and those who sacrificed because of that tragic day—is by how we choose to live.

Keep our eyes open.
Question things.
Think for ourselves.
Make the hard choices.
And most importantly, make sure we're trying to get it right—not just trying to be right.

Because 9/11 changed our world.

And remembering means never losing sight of that.

🥎 Beautiful day to get in the dirt.

We put a LOT on these girls. Purpose. Attention to detail. Thinking ahead without getting ahead of themselves. Accountability—at all costs.

Some will pick things up quickly. Some will need more time. That’s development. We care about the time we spend together, and we want every rep to have a purpose.

We remind them of the standard we hold them to—and the standard we want them to eventually hold themselves to.

Have each other’s backs. No matter what. That doesn’t take skill.

Our Soldiers parents continue to show up on time, prepared, supportive, and taking care of these girls in big ways. They trust us, support us, and let us do the work. That means more than they probably realize.

After a great workout, we enjoyed pizza, watermelon, fresh corn on the cob 🌽 and ice-cold drinks. Shoutout to one of our awesome families for the spread! ❤️

MORE THAN JUST SOFTBALL ❤️‍🔥

Tonight, some of our 330 Fastpitch Soldiers had an incredible experience at the Youngstown State Softball Hit-a-Thon, and we are so thankful to the entire Penguins program for welcoming our girls!

They got to step into the dugout with the team, hit on the field, watch batting practice, and interact with the YSU players. When it was their turn to hit, the announcer called each girl’s name as she walked up to bat just like a real college game, while the YSU players cheered them on from behind the backstop. 🥹🥎 That was a pretty special feeling for these young girls.

YSU went above and beyond for our families with free hot dogs, chips, drinks, and snacks. ❤️

We also got to see one of our own assistant mentors, Isabella O’Brien, who plays for the Penguins. Watching our girls see someone they know on that field made the night even more special.

This is what being part of our program is about.

As coaches, we want to create experiences that let these girls see the next level, experience the big stage, and believe that it could someday be them.

Not every lesson happens at practice.

Sometimes, you just need to step onto the field and see what’s possible.

Thank you, YSU Softball, for giving our girls a night they’ll remember! We cant wait to come watch you play another season!🐧❤️‍🔥

🥎 10U TEAMS — LET’S GET TO WORK!

The 330 Fastpitch Soldiers 10U – O’Brien are looking to add a few quality scrimmage opportunities to our September schedule.

We’re looking for the right teams who want to compete, get better, and give their girls meaningful live reps. These aren’t about keeping score or simply filling a date on the calendar — they’re about development, competing, making adjustments, and learning to play the game together. NO FEE!

📅 AVAILABLE DATES:
⭐️ September 6th
⭐️ September 13th
⭐️ September 27th

📍We have field availability or are willing to travel.

Our goal is simple: put these girls in situations that challenge them and help them grow. Live pitching. Game-speed defense. Baserunning. Adjustments. Communication. Competing.
