She has worked incredibly hard all season long to earn enough points to qualify for this opportunity, and we couldn’t be more proud or excited to watch her compete against the best of the best! Today and tomorrow are all about trusting her game, staying focused, and enjoying every moment of this incredible experience.

Tonight, Chloe Witcher placed as the individual District Champion for the fourth consecutive year shooting a 33 (-4)!!
Another PR for our Kailynn Peterson shooting a 46!!

The team took second place in the District falling one stroke short.

Individual scores: Chloe 33, Briley 48, Kailynn 46, June 49, Riley 50.

Before rolling into post-season play we wanted to introduce our two seniors playing on the B Team this year.
First is Erin Bilbrey who has played golf for three years. After graduation, she is continuing her education in pursuit of becoming a pediatrician. She answered some questions for us:

What’s the best golf advice you’ve ever received?
Just stay patient and it will all work out.
What’s your favorite golf memory?
Falling down the hill on hole 6 with Riley on accident

And finally we introduce Taylor Spears, who just picked up playing golf this year. After graduation she is going to attend Lindsey Wilson to major in kinesiology, seeking a career as a physical therapist. Taylor answered the following questions:

Being able to meet new people at tournaments

“Stop standing up!” Yelled by many people I have played with.

We are so proud of these ladies and so grateful that they have shared their talents and abilities with BCHS Golf. We will cherish the memories and hope you do also. Senior night is scheduled for September 14th. We will continue to cheer for you both in your bright futures!

The Trojanettes played their last regular season tournament in a hot one today at The Pines in Columbia. Chloe Witcher took fourth place and both Briley and Riley carded personal low scores.
Chloe 77, Briley 85, Riley 96, Kailynn 110, Bella 113. They have District next week, a match the following week, then Regional tournament. Finish strong ladies! ⛳️

Our final Top 5 team member to meet is 8th grader, Riley Decker. Riley has only played golf for a year and a half but is a quick learner and is improving every week. She was happy to answer some questions to help us get to know her better.

Next up on “Meet the Team” is 8th grader, June Simpson. June has played golf for 2 1/2 years and is having a huge impact on the Trojanettes’ season. She has had some extraordinary golf experiences and was gracious to answer some questions for us to get to know her.

One more 18 hole tournament next Saturday at Adair County before district and region post season kick off!!
