Following the implementation of an intramural program in 1916, football was officially adopted by Glasgow High School (MT) in 1922. The Scotties have played in eight state championship games during their 98-year history, winning Class A titles in 1976, 80, 83, and 86. The team also had back-to-back undefeated seasons in 1965 and 66. These seasons, however, were spoiled as Montana did not hold playoffs for Class A during those years. The Scotties were re-classified to Class B in 1992, where they have continued to experience success. Winning the District 2B conference nine times, appearing in the state playoffs in 22 out of 29 years, and advancing to the state semifinals on seven occasions. Home games are played on Scottie Field, which is located on the school's campus. The stadium opened in 1982 and is one of the largest Class B facilities in the state. Built in 2000, they also have one of the premier high school weight room's in the area.
