SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Rob Robinson

Coming from Swedesboro, NJ, our outgoing President has been with the club since 2020 shooting compound and securing both his BA in History and MA in Higher Education.

His favorite part about being a Rowan student and joining the archery team is the sense of community and the people he has met along the way. Rob mentions he would not be the person he is today without his archery community.

There were many highlights during his time on the team, but winning a Gold Medal Match that came down to a closest to center takes the cake! 🏅

After graduation, Rob plans to pursue a career working in college administration while also staying involved in the sport of archery.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Jacob Apicella

Coming from Audubon, NJ, our new President of the Rowan Archery Club, has spent the last two years on the team shooting Olympic Recurve while majoring in Supply Chain and Logistics.

His favorite part about being a Rowan student and joining the archery team has been the people he’s met along the way. 🫂

Alongside the many people who have made this experience a treasurer, seeing a horse with headlights last season and getting 5th place in Men’s Team Rounds this season puts a cherry on top.

Jacob isn’t finished yet! He plans to continue his journey with Rowan Archery for the next two years while completing his MBA at Rowan.

Rowan Archery made club history this weekend in Lansing, Michigan!

-🏹Our Archers, Matt, Jacob, Keniven, Rob, and Ashley had amazing PR Qualification Scores.

-🏹Delaney, Rob, Veronika, and Ashley made it through their first round of elimination matches.

-🏹During Mixed teams, Ashley took over for Delaney and rose to the occasion, teaming up with Rob to hold our 7th place seeding against Penn College ( #10) with a score of 141-129.

-🏹Matt, Ryan, and Jacob had a 5th place finish in Men’s Recurve Team Rounds!

-🏹Both team’s victories earned Rowan Archery 5 team points and placed us 17th out of 50 schools! This will be the first time since Coach Joel competed that we have earned points from events.

We are super proud of our archers! It’s only up from here!

Rowan Archery had an incredible weekend at The Collegiate Outdoor Regionals in Virginia! 🏹

-Rob won 1st in Men’s College Compound winning a closest to center shoot off! 🥇

-Delaney was 3rd🥉 in Women’s Compound + received All-East honors!

-Rob & Delaney came in 2nd in Compound Mixed Teams!🥈

-The Men’s Recurve Team came in 2nd! 🥈

-The Women’s Compound Team came in 3rd place! 🥉

It was a huge weekend for the team with multiple PR’s and medals to take home. The team is set to return to the field in May for the Collegiate Outdoor Nationals!
