BYRD Elite Basketball

These pictures take me back to where BYRD Elite began.

Back when it was never about attention. Never about followers. Never about who could market themselves the best.

It was about teaching the game. Building confidence. Creating memories. Learning life lessons through basketball.

Some of these boys were barely tall enough to see over the scorer's table. Today, they're young men finding their way through life.

The wins, losses, tournaments, and practices all fade with time. What remains are the relationships, the lessons, the laughs, the long car rides, the team talks, the sleepovers, and the privilege of being a small part of their journey.

Youth basketball has changed. The culture has changed. Sometimes it feels more focused on attention than development, more focused on money than mentorship.

But these photos remind me why I started.
Not to build a business.
Not to build a brand.
To help build young men.
And for that, I'll always be grateful.

Thank you to every player and family that trusted me during those early years. Watching these boys grow into young men has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

The game gave us basketball.

The journey gave us something much bigger. 🖤🏀
