Balance is a skill, not a personality trait.

If lunges feel wobbly, that is not a reason to skip them. That is a reason to scale them.

Here are four ways to train the exact same pattern without letting balance be the thing that stops you.

1. Bodyweight split squats
Set your feet and leave them there. Taking the stepping forward and stepping back out of the equation lets you find your center of balance, then drive that back knee down toward the floor or wherever you are comfortable.

2. Add a PVC pipe
Hold it in the opposite hand of your working leg and plant it into the floor. Push into it as much as you need. That is not cheating, that is guidance

3. Grab something sturdy
If the pipe still wobbles, find a rig post or a door frame and hang onto that instead. Same full range of motion, a little more help, none of the wiggle.

4. Rings, TRX, or bands
Step back, create some tension, and use your arms as much as you need to get out of the bottom. This takes balance almost completely out of the equation so your legs can do the work they came to do.

Notice what none of these did. None of them made the exercise easier. They made it accessible.

That is the whole idea behind Forever Strong, our new program for our 55+ community starting this month. Real training, scaled to meet you exactly where you are right now, so you keep the strength and balance that let you live the way you want to live.

If you have been putting off getting started because you were not sure you could keep up, this one was built for you. Comment below or send me this post and we can talk about whether it is the right fit.

Think you can’t get stronger after 55? Think again. Right now might be the best time to get stronger than you have ever been.

Here is what most people do not realize. After 40, we naturally start losing muscle and bone density every single year. The data is not subtle on this one. But here is the good news. Real strength training, done consistently and done right, is one of the most powerful tools we have to slow that down, and even reverse it.

That is exactly why we are so excited to introduce Forever Strong, a brand new 6 week semi-private program at 033, built specifically for our 55+ community and coached by 033 Owner, Tobi.

This is not a bootcamp. It is not a crowded class where you are left to figure things out on your own. It is real, personalized strength coaching, in a small group, built around building the muscle and bone strength that keeps you independent, capable, and strong for everything life still has ahead of you.

Here is what is included:

-Two in-person semi-private sessions each week with Tobi, 45 minutes each.

-Two follow-along workouts you can do on your own time, built with real programming behind them.

-That is four real strength sessions a week, every one with intention.

We are keeping this group small on purpose. We want it to actually count for you.

If you have been waiting for a sign to start strength training, or to get back into it the right way, this is it.

Meet Helen! Helen started working with Tobi in private and semi-private sessions several months ago. She was hesitant about training in a CrossFit gym and whether it would work for her and now Helen can be found inside our walls 3-4 times a week crushing her goals!

Helen is back squatting, deadlifting, and pressing barbells, moving dumbbells confidently, building muscle and increasing her endurance so that she can live the life she loves!

Are you over the age of 50 and looking for a supportive, caring, semi-private place to train? Comment “Helen” below or DM us this post and learn more about what we have to offer!

You mean the place where I’m surrounded by like-minded individuals trying to be the healthiest version of themselves?

You mean __________ (tell us what we missed).

Bodybuilding isn’t a buzzword. It’s a training method, splits, isolation work, progressive overload, and it’s the piece that’s actually missing if the goal is a specific look, not just a score on the whiteboard.

We are a CrossFit gym, but here’s why we offer more than that now. CrossFit alone doesn’t always give you the results you’re looking for or the training you need to stay healthy. A dedicated split. A day where your only job is chest and triceps. A day where your only job is back and biceps. Real volume, real isolation, real recovery in between.

That combination, fatiguing a muscle in a compound lift and then finishing it off in isolation, is what actually drives the changes people are chasing. More targeted work.

That is exactly why we built the bodybuilding track here and why we’re offering semi-private training with me, right alongside our group classes. Small group, just me and a handful of people, so we can actually dial in your splits and your volume instead of you guessing on your own.

So if you’re worried about jumping into the larger group or if your goal is feeling good both in your body and your skin, but the fast-paced CrossFit classes just don’t feel quite right- this might be your missing piece.

Three reasons you’re training consistently but don’t look like it yet.

Showing up is not the same as training with a purpose.
I see it all the time. Someone comes into the gym four or five days a week. They are consistent. They are putting in the time. And months later they look almost exactly the same as when they started.

It is not a work ethic problem. It is usually one of these three things.

1. You do not have a structured program. Random workouts build random results. If you are doing whatever feels good that day, or whatever is trending, your body has nothing to adapt to. Progress comes from a plan you are actually following week over week, not a new workout every time you show up.

2. You are not training close to failure. Comfortable weights and comfortable reps will keep you consistent, but they will not build you. Your body only changes when you give it a reason to. That means the last few reps of a set should be hard. Not dangerous. Hard.

3. You are consistent with showing up, not consistent with the plan. There is a difference. Four days a week doing four different things is not the same as following a program built to build on itself.

None of this is about working harder. It is about working with a plan that is actually designed to change your body, not just tire you out.

I would love to help you fix this. Comment below or shoot me this post and we can chat more about what that would look like for you.

I’ve been sitting on this for a while and I’m finally ready to open it up.

It’s a 6 week hybrid semi-private program with me, built for the people who want real coaching, real structure, and actual results, but aren’t quite ready to jump into the bigger group classes yet.

Two sessions a week with me, in person, in a small setting. Two more on your own time, your own pace, with real programming behind every single one. Four workouts a week, all of it building toward something.

You’re not doing this alone either. You’ll have access to me and the other athletes in the group the whole six weeks, so you’re never stuck wondering what to do next.

I’m keeping this small on purpose. Five spots means I can actually make it count for you.

If you need a kick start after a crazy summer, don’t wait. Comment below or shoot me this post and let’s talk about whether this is the right fit for you.

Let’s talk about why CrossFit costs more than a big box gym membership, because I get asked this constantly.

At a big box gym, you are on your own. You wander in, you find a machine, you guess at what to do, and you leave hoping it did something.
Nobody is watching your form.
Nobody is pushing you past where you would stop on your own.
Nobody even notices if you stop showing up.

Here is what you are actually paying for at 033:

You are paying for coaching. Real coaching. Someone watching your squat, fixing your form before it becomes an injury, and telling you exactly what to do instead of leaving you to figure it out.

You are paying for programming. Every workout is built with intention. It is not random. It is progressing you toward something, whether you realize it or not.

You are paying for accountability. When you know people are expecting you to show up, you show up. When the person next to you is pushing through their last rep, you find one more in you too. That does not happen alone on a treadmill.

And you are paying for community. The kind that notices when you are missing. The kind that celebrates your PR like it is their own. The kind that makes showing up feel less like a chore and more like something you do not want to miss.

You are not just paying for a room with equipment in it. You are paying for the thing that actually gets you consistent. And consistency is the only thing that has ever gotten anyone real results.

That is what you are actually buying.
