Hot take: It may be time to reevaluate futsal for your child this winter. ⚽️
The offseason should help players return to outdoor soccer with better technical ability, speed, strength, confidence, and ball control. But many families are spending thousands on exclusive futsal teams, travel tournaments, hotels, uniforms, and fees—only for their child to receive limited playing time.
Futsal can be great for youth soccer development, but games alone don’t develop players. Training does. And when futsal becomes overly tactical, robotic, and focused on winning championships, we lose the creativity, freedom, and technical development that made it so valuable.
Our winter training teams will train twice per week, get approximately 1,000 touches per session, improve in tight spaces, and play a weekend futsal game to showcase their development.
Think about your child’s overall goal this winter: How do they need to improve before the spring outdoor soccer season?
If focused training sounds more valuable than potentially playing eight minutes in another tournament, reach out to learn about tryouts and available roster spots.
