Built/With Fitness is a coaching facility that offers CrossFit group fitness classes, and 24/7 access WE ARE CROSSFIT.

Established in 2007 and the second CrossFit Affiliate in Maryland (first in the Baltimore Area), we eat, breathe and live CrossFit. We have coaches that not only are the best in the region but are also on staff with the CrossFit Certification process.

Often, at the end of the week, we tend to slack on our exercise routine. Built/With encourages our athletes to head into the weekend knowing they lifted heavy, jumped high, and worked toward their goals.

Set an end goal.

Your strength-building capabilities and tolerance level for pain are two different things. Keeping a fitness end goal in mind can help you endure the pain, challenge yourself to change your mindset, and get through the workout so you achieve your end goal.

Are you incorporating kettlebells into your workouts?

If you consider CrossFit a functional fitness, you will understand the role kettlebell training should play in your workouts. In addition to building cardiovascular endurance, the kettlebell exercises (swings and snatches in particular) force muscle groups to work together. Using your core, hips, glutes, and shoulders together to execute movements is different from carrying kids, hauling the trash to the curb, and unloading groceries...it doesn't get much more functional than that!

Kettlebell workouts help increase core strength and stability, which are vital to completing demanding CrossFit workouts. As long as the correct form and grip are used, kettlebells can help athletes add variety to their workouts while also targeting muscles that may need to be addressed with traditional weight training.
