TAP CBR

I know we said there were 8 members, but let's be honest, without PAM, TAPCBR might not have lasted. Pam's not only been playing since the start, she's also been helping out behind the scenes since the start. From running apparel & cue booths, selling raffle tickets, refereeing, and back office assistance for both TAPCBR and TAP National Events, Pam has been there and done it all at one point. She's been there to celebrate triumphant moments and help rebuild from the 'not so' moments in the leagues history. Some people love her, while others ???, but she's never stopped loving the league and her time spent with the players.

Founding Member Steve Turpin rounds out the 'Three Musketeers" of the Shooters Sports Bar Monday league. Joining Ed Franco and Mike Shallue, Steve has shared a storybook journey with them. The quiet one of the trio, Steve has also done it all. From Titleholders to Nationals, Steve's name has appeared on a roster. His consistent play makes him a challenging player for any opponent to beat.

Founding Member Norm Huffman, like Joyce, joined the Pasadena Tuesday Travel League when it was launched. Another seasoned player before joining, Norm jumped in and hasn't looked back. He helped start the division and continues to play in it to this day. His team was one of the first to win a TAPCBR National Qualifiers and go to Nationals in Las Vegas. And don't let that smile fool you, Norm will sneak up and take the win if you're not focused.

Founding Member Joyce Clark was one of the first players to sign up as TAPCBR introduced our 1st Travel league. Pasadena Tuesday Travel was started right after the Shooters In-House league. The manager of JJ's Tavern Joyce was ready to join, and has shown steadfast support since. She's been to every local Event we've offered at some point, and in 2023, with only 5 players on the roster, her team won an 8-Ball National Qualifiers Event and went to Biloxi, MS to play at the TAP Nationals.

Founding Member Bob Link has been playing pool for quite some time. A pool player before TAP was introduced, Bob switched gears to be part of the Shooters Mon In-House League. Being a seasoned player, Bob's been to all the TAPCBR & TAP National Events at one time or another. He's won enough times to say, "Do I need another award?" Bob continues to enjoy the game on Thursdays as a member of the team 'Cherry Bombs'.

Founding Member Doug Asplen is a quiet person with a game that that can speak for itself. A part of the Shooters Mon In-House league, Doug has also watched TAPCBR grow into the league it is today. Participating in multiple Events over the years, Doug has earned a reputation as a solid player on the table and a gentleman off the table. A true competitor and advocate of the game, we're proud to have Doug with us.

Stefanie Manning is the youngest of our group of Founding Members. How young, we won't say, but her mother was also a founding member who was there to watch over her :) . Stefanie also started playing TAP in the Monday In-House league at Shooters Sports Bar in Arnold MD. A veteran of all things TAPCBR, Stefanie has not only played in some event on every level but has also helped out as an event referee. She's currently the League Director for Brews & Cues Mon & Tues In-house leagues.

Founding Member Mike Shallue was the 4th person to become a TAPCBR member when he joined the Monday
In-House league at Shooters Sports Bar in Arnold MD.
Mike's been to Titleholders, Rally In The Valley, Triathlons, Specialty Tournaments, National Qualifiers and TAP Nationals. He won his 1st trip to TAP Nationals last year and followed up with another win this year. Mike currently plays Tuesday night at Brew & Cues for the team 'Fireball'.

Founding Member Ed Franco was the 1st person to be set up as a TAPCBR member. Joining the Monday In-House league at Shooters Sports Bar in Arnold MD, Ed's seen everything; Titleholders, Rally In The Valley, Triathlons, Specialty Tournaments, National Qualifiers and finally, TAP Nationals. Last Year, Ed's team won their 1st trip TAP Nationals and followed up with another win this year. Ed currently Captain's the team 'Fireball' playing in the Brews & Cues Tues In-House League.
