First camping trip of 2023 and hike 4 and 5 of our . There is something to be said about sleeping on the ground in cold rainy weather. It’s where you find out how much you love the outdoors and wether you are sane enough to have kids. I’m sure all were laughing at us as we yelled at our kids to get out of the tree or to remind them all were sleeping as we told ghost stories and roasted marshmallows. was beautiful and can’t wait to go back when I can soak in the river. The hike out to Gorman Falls was amazing. We left muddy, wet and a little cold, but another family bonding experience.

Hike #3 of the 52 hike challenge. It was so awesome getting to spend another Sunday with my family. I feel like the week has its problems but then we are able to stop and be in nature and forget our problems for a bit. It’s so nice to see smiling faces, exhausted faces, and know we accomplished something as a family. Get out and hike.
