With Countries/States reopening and allowing or about allow events like Concerts, Religious Services, Races etc again it’s time to think about our next steps as participants. What do Race Directors and Owners need to show you to make you want to participate in their events again?

Green Beret Challenge, Savage Race, Nuclear Races, Rat Race, Toughest, Conquer The Gauntlet, TM and Spartan Extreme Endurance is back this month. What are your personal gates or phases that need to be cleared to get you back in the corral?

This is meant to be constructive so if your answer is oh hell no, I’m curious on what would make you a yes? Let’s help figure out what’s needed to get things back even if the sport has to adapt a bit.

I’ve had a week to think about this past weekend. I’ve been chasing one of these Lap Leader jerseys for a while now. I’ve been chasing it because it proves I’m capable of doing something I knew I had in me but hadn’t done yet. Being one of the leaders of the pack from start to finish. Typically I’ve played it safe to save something for later knowing that others will start to hit a wall and I’ll go hunting. This time James and I strategically decided let’s see what happens if I apply pressure from the start. I’d say it worked out pretty well. There are some things to tinker with to get to an Elite Spartan podium but continual performance improvement has been shown to me at almost race I’ve tackled this season. I got to have so much fun and ran with some amazing people on lap two. Excited to finish up with Bonefrog in a few short weeks and then start planning out 2020? Spartan if you could release the Ultra Series Info I’d like to commit if you will..... Thank you to Julie and "Live Wire" for believing in me. Honey Stinger for fueling me, Marena, MudGear, BleggMit, Sheddable Shells and inov-8 All Terrain Running for keeping me comfortable throughout this 50k with obstacles.

I have thought a lot about what I wanted to post. Killington has always being a homecoming race for me, having grown up about 35 miles southwest. Unfortunately coming home hasn’t always been so warm. I’ve always finished but I always been left to feel the consequences by seeing it to the end. It’s only fitting that this venue and this distance is where I achieved something a long time coming. My first Spartan podium.

This has been a year of growth for me and it’s not easy, a lot of pain is still with me daily but when it’s worth it you find a way to get it done. I’d like to thank everyone for their constant support along the way. James Wyatt of BC Fitness , I’ve long known I needed to step my form, technique and my programming. Your teaching has been a critical reason for my uptick in success. Marc Lobliner TigerFitness.com and MTS Nutrition have long been my gotos to keep my body building and ready for the course and during my Ultras. Honey Stinger you are my goto in-race fuel and you have never let me down. I never hit a wall as long as I’m eating. inov-8 you always have my feet comfy and Marena Sport you always have my legs covered. Trail Toes my feet always good next day because of you.
