CLOSED PERMANENTLY Lone Star Sporting Clays started in November 1991. Close friends had introduced Mike and I to this sport.

After the range local in our area sold out, these friends came to Mike and I and said we had the best site for a sporting clays course. Well over 25 years later, hobby, love of the sport and old and new friends, this Mom and Pop club is still here. We are located in Glen Rose, Texas on our home property. With the help from our family and close friends, we host an average of 8 NSCA Shooting events

Lone Star family. OMG if we could have had the Bluebonnet Open it would have been the best Open ever.

In 30+ yrs Herr I have never seen them as blue, tall and thick as they are. Mike and I would have been at each other, to keep the shoot stands out of the bluebonnet.

Pictures do not do the justice at all.

Just received news of one of our shooting family's passing. Tom Mack has passed.

He always had a big smile, and bear hugs. Was fortunate to get to squad and shoot with him at several shoots. He loved my brownies.

Shoot em up in heaven dear sir, say high to Mike when you meet up.

Cleaning out buildings, think a little beer drinking took place over the 30 years. Stopped counting at 60.

Its' done. Bucket list has another check mark. Thank you Brent and Marvick Excavation. I know it was a tough one, yes I have some big rocks.

Come on rain!!!!!!!

One of the toughest tanks I ever done. Bottom is solid rock. Not enough dirt to finish dam so ha to rob some from back side. That was a first. Lol. All and all not to bad.

Mike promised me that when we closed the range I could have a stock tank done.

Well, the bucket item started today, hope your smiling Mike.
