After a grueling 4 hours of racing we wrapped up another great Enduro event at Phoenix Kart Racing Association . The Imposters team representing Innovative karting made a strong run with Matthew Ruth, Gunnar Ray, and Kane Pexa fighting to the end. We were leading the race going into the final pit stop but with a miscalculation in fuel strategy, we gave up the lead and ended up 3rd in the race with all 3 teams within a lap at the end. We had a great time and had zero mechanical issues for the event putting in 300 laps in the 4 hour race.
Congrats to the Fast & Furious 4 team for their victory over all and in the Jr2 category.
As well as the Rockin' Croc team in Sr and the Sheetski team taking the masters win.
The Briggs & Stratton Racing engines & Hoosier Kartsport tires held up great for all of the teams as a testament of the high quality products that we choose to run at PKRA.

We've had a few members ask if we're racing today. The short answer is: Yes! We are a racing club; we are racing until the weather prevents it. A wet track can dry (fast I might add). I was there this morning and there is no reason why we won’t be racing until the weather forces us to stop.

We are looking to find quality people for our PKRA events as well. The trouble finding good help is an epidemic. Let us know if you can come up with someone who can help make our races even more awesome.
As CKNA continues to grow at a feverish pace, so too must our staff. In order to continue offering the best experience for our karting customers, the time has once again come to reach out to the racing community and recruit more help!
We are looking for a handful of individuals to help us continue to grow CKNA. Mainly we are looking to add some full-time corner workers and track marshals but are happy to discuss other positions with people that are interested in joining the team. Ideally, we want to build a core group of track workers that would officiate all CKNA events in 2023, as well as add individuals that could only attend a handful of races to fill in when needed.
Our plan has been to start beefing up the staff for the 2023 season, but after some consideration we want to get a jump start on that and build the 2023 team right now. Our remaining races are Shawano Wisconsin, Ontario Canada, South Bend Indiana and of course the Grand Nationals at New Castle.
These are not volunteer positions (although free help is always welcome), and we have some creative ways to help our staff and their families pay for their own racing if they prefer! Please contact us at [email protected] and let us know you are interested.

Our Story
Phoenix Kart Racing Association (PKRA) is a non-profit member operated club established in 1982 for those interested in Go Karting. The club leases property from the Maricopa Park District on which the club maintains an outdoor asphalt track inside the Adobe Dam Park and Recreation Area. The track allows for multiple configurations of up to 3/4th of a mile in length and averages 25 feet in width. With 12 turns of various radii and over 500 feet of straight away, it’s a constant challenge for both the novice and expert driver.
The track is primarily for those who own their own karts, though a separate vendor provides an arrive and drive kart rental service (please contact them directly prior to coming to the track to schedule time). The track is open to the public during regularly scheduled times, but members enjoy reduced rates and voting rights. PKRA operates under IKF Sprint Kart rules. See below for required safety equipment and local karting vendors.
Some are satisfied with the fun of driving during practice sessions. Others want the thrill of racing, and PKRA organizes club races about every other week, with two seasons of typically 10 races each, with Winter races on Sunday days and Summer races on Saturday nights. Unlike some indoor karting tracks where every session is a "race" and measurement is by time, these are formal races, with racing officials and results determined by finishing order. Competitive racing requires more comittment it terms of acheiving proficiency and kart maintenance. We would like new drivers to acheive lap times sufficient for them not to be lapped in a 10-15 lap race under normal conditions before entering races.
Many maintain their own karts, but local kart shops provide services that range from selling parts to fully maintaining karts, and even to storing and transporting your kart to the track.
