Standing Back‑Row Attack Footwork 🏐🔥

If you’re hitting from the back row without jumping, your footwork has to stay clean and simple.

Here’s the exact pattern:

1️⃣ Step with your left foot

This starts your momentum and keeps your body lined up behind the 10‑foot line.

2️⃣ Drag your right foot behind

Don’t pick it up — drag it.
This keeps you grounded

3️⃣ Transfer your weight forward into the swing

Left → drag right → rotate shoulders → drive through the ball.

BREAKING: The NCAA approved multiple volleyball rule changes for 2026.

In addition to the center-line rule, updates include expanded challenge reviews and modifications involving simultaneous blocker-attacker contact situations.

Some coaches love the additional clarity.

Others think volleyball is becoming over-officiated.

Do you like the direction the rules are heading?

Back‑Setting Form: Look the Same Every Time 🔥

If you want to be a setter who can’t be read, your back‑set has to look EXACTLY like your front‑set until the last second.

Here’s how to keep it clean and hidden:

✅ Keep your posture the same
No leaning back. No twisting.
Your body should look identical whether you’re setting forward or backward.

✅ Lean slightly forward
This keeps your weight centered and your release fast.

✅ Palms facing up or the ceiling
This is the key to a clean back‑set.
Palms up → elbows high → ball travels behind you without dropping.

✅ Arms by your ears
This keeps your window tight and your release consistent.

Back‑setting to keep the block off your hitter is about deception.

If your form looks the same every time, the block won’t know where the ball is going until it’s already gone.
