The American Raptors faced off against Selknam in the 2024 Super Rugby Americas regular-season finale. In what turned out to be a fantastic defensive showing by both teams, it was Selknam who eventually found the cracks in the Raptors' defense and escaped with a 24-19 victory. The Raptors took a 6-0 lead into the halftime break on two penalty goals from fullback Francisco Quinn and two outstanding defensive plays that kept Selknam off the board. Selknam wasted no time getting on the board in the second half, and after two lead changes, rattled off two tries in a matter of minutes to put the match out of reach for the Raptors. The Raptors finally scored their first try of the match with four minutes remaining to cut the lead to five points, but it was too little, too late as Selknam defeated the Raptors for the second time in 2024 and closed out their season with a victory. The Raptors finished in sixth place in the 2024 Super Rugby Americas table with a 3-9 record.
