Fitness after 40 isn’t about trying to look like I’m 20 again; it’s about making sure I can still move, hike, and enjoy my life without limitations. When you told yourself you'd "get serious" after the holidays.
Then after your birthday.
Then after spring break.
Then after things would "slow down."
And now it's mid-May.
Summer is here.
And things never slowed down.
Here's the uncomfortable truth:
Studies consistently show that over 80% of New Year's goals fail by February.
Not because people don't care.
Not because they're weak.
But because motivation is temporary… and life is not.
Work gets busy…
Sleep gets disturbed…
Stress shows up…
Someone needs you…
Your routine gets thrown off…
And when motivation fades, you fall back on whatever patterns were running your life before.
Which, for a lot looks like:
Working out "when they have time"
Eating well until they're stressed
Starting strong, then slowly negotiating with themselves
And telling themselves, "I'll get back to it soon."
Here's the key question i want you to sit with:
What is your plan for the weeks you don't feel motivated?
And if you do have a plan, what is your level of confidence that your system is bulletproof for the days, weeks, and seasons when motivation fades away?
Because that's where your year is actually won or lost.
And that's exactly why I’m here
Not to "hype you up."
Not to give you another plan that only works in perfect conditions.
But to teach you how to build structure in a busy, unpredictable life.
