Sardarabad Dance Ensemble of Hamazkayin Chicago

Sardarabad Dance Ensemble of Hamazkayin Chicago Dance The Chicago Chapter of Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society was formed in 1980.

The Chicago Hamazkayin chapter sponsors and organizes many cultural events, educational seminars, film festivals and dance performances. The Sardarabad Dance Ensemble of Chicago was established in 1986 under the direction of dance instructor Meline Terzian. For the last 35 years, the Chicago Sardarabad Dance Ensemble has been performing at numerous events in the Midwest. We are honored to have a professional dance instructor from Armenia, Hrachya Kostanyan and Chicago's own Sahak Zakarian, to introduce and to promote to our youth, Armenian culture through the art of dance. The Chicago Sardarabad Dance Ensemble will remain the beacon in preserving Armenian culture and identity through dance.
