20th Anniversary Client Testimonials
“Jan 2010 I started the Edge program because a neighbor looked so healthy and recommended this young trainer named Mark Sich. She warned me “it’s his way or the highway”, and she was exactly right. I came home from first session in shock, no longer being able to hop off the couch. When I asked my teenaged, athletic daughters what I could do about it, they told me to “suck it up, Mom”. So I did, and after six months of real strength training instead of the studio stuff I was previously doing, I was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer and the strongest I had been in my life. Because of the Edge program, I was confident that I could get through treatments. Now 16 years and MANY Edge sessions later, I’m still strong, and blessed with good health and Edge friends. It’s still his way or the highway, and now I’m borrowing on the reserves I’ve built up, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Happy Birthday, Edge!”

Thanks so much Chris! Its clients like you and stories like this that keep us fueled for many more years ahead.
This week, The Edge turns 20.
Looking through old photos, we’re reminded that this place has never really been about equipment, workouts, or even the building itself.
It’s been about the people.
The friendships.
The milestones.
The challenges overcome.
The years spent getting stronger together.
Whether you trained with us for a few months or many years, thank you for being part of the story.
We’re grateful for all of it.

Most people get stuck trying to figure out what matters most. The challenge isn’t finding more information. It’s knowing what deserves your attention right now.

A lot of adults think they’re getting old.
What we usually find is something much simpler:
They’re a little stiff.
A little deconditioned.
A little out of practice.
The good news? Most don’t need a miracle. They need the right input. A little coaching. A little consistency. And before long, they start feeling like themselves again.
If you’ve been feeling “off” lately, let’s see what’s really going on.
Getting stronger is great, but seeing clients halfway across the world dancing their hearts out? That’s the kind of stuff we love.
We spend a lot of time talking about fitness, but this is really what it’s for. The trips. The memories. The dance floors in Greece.

Meet Our Summer Interns!
We’re excited to welcome Colin and Emmett to the training team, and Conor and Franki to the PT team. Keep reading to learn more about each of them and what they’ll be bringing to The EDGE.
Conor Beach is currently pursuing his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Saint Louis University and is expected to graduate in 2030. With a background in both soccer and track, he brings a strong appreciation for movement, performance, and teamwork to the clinic. Outside of school and athletics, Conor’s favorite movie is Armageddon — and despite being in college, he’s proudly known for his impressive 8:30 PM bedtime!
Franki Shim is heading to the University of Iowa to study Exercise Science before pursuing physical therapy school. She’s been involved in gymnastics for years and spends her summers training young gymnasts through Schim’s Business (her own business!). When she’s not working with athletes, you’ll probably find her listening to country music — or confusing everyone by playing sports lefty even though she’s actually right-handed!
Emmett Polsky is a rising senior at Marquette University studying Exercise Physiology. He is also a Certified Personal Trainer, CPR/AED certified, and certified in lifeguarding, which is a fairly strong sign he knows how to stay calm when other people are struggling. His interests are in human performance, sports, and athlete development. He is bilingual in English and Spanish, and outside of work he enjoys cooking, playing sports, and hanging out with his dog.
Colin Davis is entering his senior year at Butler University, where he is majoring in Kinesiology with a concentration in Applied Human Performance and a minor in Sports Coaching. Fitness and exercise have been a major part of his life for a long time. As a triplet, he grew up competing with his brothers, which probably removed any realistic chance of being sedentary. He played hockey and baseball growing up, and he still plays hockey every week with his dad in a recreational league. He is passionate about strength training and enjoys working toward becoming stronger and healthier each day.
