YOU TEACH PEOPLE HOW TO TREAT YOU.

I would love to shout this one from the rooftop!

Women ask me all the time:

“How do you find men who treat you so well?”

Men who call.
Men who pursue.
Men who plan dates.
Men who open doors.
Men who do thoughtful things.
Men who make their interest very clear.

And my answer is actually very simple.

I don’t entertain men who don’t! PERIOD.

That doesn’t mean every relationship I’ve had has worked out. They haven’t.

But I am not going to spend six months trying to convince a man to communicate with me.

I’m not going to chase someone for attention.

I’m not going to repeatedly explain basic respect.

And I’m certainly not going to lower my standards because I’m afraid of being alone.

When women tell me some of the things they continually tolerate in relationships, my first question is usually:

Why are you allowing this?

Because at some point, we have to stop making everything about what HE is doing or not doing and start asking ourselves why WE continue accepting it.

Why are you accepting crumbs?

Why are you making excuses for behavior that hurts you?

Why are you staying where you feel unwanted, disrespected or confused?

Why are you so afraid of losing him that you’re willing to lose yourself?

People learn what they can get away with by what we continue to tolerate.

If someone treats you poorly once, that tells you something about them.

If they continually treat you poorly and you continually stay, it may be time to ask yourself a much harder question:

What inside of me believes this is all I deserve?

That is where the real work begins.

Raise your self worth and watch what you stop tolerating.

Raise your standards and watch who loses access to you.

And stop asking how to find people who will treat you well.

Start becoming the woman who no longer entertains the ones who don’t.

Because honestly, it is very disheartening to talk to women over and over and over again that talk about how they are being treated poorly by another human being and why they do not have enough confidence and self-worth to leave the relationship.

After 35+ years in the beauty industry and six years coaching women, I can tell you exactly what I see holding too many women back.

They don’t believe in themselves!!!

And that lack of confidence is expensive.

It costs you the relationship you stayed in too long.
The money you were afraid to ask for.
The opportunity you convinced yourself you weren’t ready for.
The boundary you didn’t set.
The years you spent worrying about what everyone else thought.

Screw that.

I want women to know who the hell they are.

Speak up.
Trust your gut.
Raise your standards.
Stop settling in sh*tty relationships.
Stop being afraid to be alone.
Stop auditioning for acceptance.
Stop making yourself smaller to make other people comfortable.

And for the love of God, stop waiting for someone else to decide you’re worthy.

Confidence isn’t just feeling sexy in a great outfit.

Confidence determines what you tolerate, what you pursue, what you walk away from and what you believe is possible for your life.

And this is exactly the work I do with women.

We build the confidence to stop second guessing yourself.
To trust your own damn decisions.
To set boundaries without guilt.
To stop settling because you’re afraid of being alone.
To learn to trust your intuition.
To know you’re worthy of more.
To ask for more.
To take up space.
To manifest anything you want.
To stop feeling guilty for wanting to invest in yourself.
To stop putting yourself last.
Stop people pleasing.
To look in the mirror and actually LOVE the woman looking back at you.

Because I’m not interested in teaching women how to act confident.

I want you to become so solid in who you are that you stop negotiating your worth.

Change the woman in the mirror and watch what happens to her life.

That’s what I’m here to teach. 🥂

Do you think living a luxurious life means you have to have a lot of money?

What if you could elevate your everyday life without elevating your credit card balance?

Who decided a luxurious life had to be an expensive one?

I think we’ve confused luxury with expensive. Luxury, to me, is intention. It’s how you care for yourself, your home, your time and the little details of your day.

Here are 10 ways to live a more luxurious life without breaking the bank: 🍾

1. Buy yourself the flowers. Grocery store flowers in a beautiful vase can completely change the feeling of a room. If you don’t want to spend money on real flowers, you can go to HomeGoods and purchase fake ones.
2. Use the good dishes. Stop saving the pretty glasses, china and cloth napkins for company. You can purchase these through garage sales or thrift stores. You live there too.
3. Create beautiful lighting. Turn off the harsh overhead lights. Lamps, candles and soft lighting instantly make your home feel more elevated. I switched all of my lighting over to Amber lighting and that warm lighting creates a very luxurious feel.
4. Make your morning drink a ritual. Coffee in a beautiful cup. Sparkling water in a wine glass. Take five minutes and actually enjoy it.
5. Edit instead of constantly buying. A smaller wardrobe of pieces you love will always feel more luxurious than a closet overflowing with things you never wear.
6. Keep your bedroom beautiful. Fresh sheets, a made bed, cleared nightstands and a lovely scent cost very little but change how you end your day.
7. Romanticize your meals. Even a simple salad, pasta or piece of fish feels different when you plate it beautifully, sit at the table and put on some music.
8. Take yourself somewhere beautiful. A museum, botanical garden, bookstore, café, park or even a walk through a beautiful neighborhood. Your life does not have to revolve around spending money.
9. Create at home what you keep paying someone else to create for you. A Sunday facial, a long bath, beautiful music, candles, body oil and a glass of something lovely can turn your bathroom into your own little spa.
10. Stop saving everything for “someday.” Wear the perfume. Light the candle. Open the bottle. Put on the lipstick.

Remember, you are the luxury you are the occasion.

I wish more women knew…

1. Being alone and being lonely are not the same thing.
Learning to enjoy your own company will change what you’re willing to settle for.
2. You don’t have to earn rest, beauty or pleasure.
Use the beautiful dishes. Buy the flowers. Take the afternoon off. Open the champagne.
3. Confidence is built through keeping promises to yourself.
Every time you say you’re going to do something for yourself and actually do it, you build self trust.
4. Your standards will cost you some people.
Let them. Peace is far more luxurious than being surrounded by people who continually disrespect you.
5. Taking care of your appearance isn’t shallow.
Skin care, beautiful clothes, perfume, movement and doing your hair can simply be ways of saying, “I matter to me.”
6. You are allowed to change your mind about the life you want.
You can reinvent your style, your relationships, your career, your routines, your home and yourself as many times as necessary.
7. Stop saving your life for later.
Wear the dress. Make the reservation. Light the candles on a Tuesday. Take yourself somewhere beautiful. Celebrate the ordinary.

You don’t need a special occasion to create a beautiful life.

You are the occasion. 🥂
