SHERI IS 65. šŖš»
Sheās lost over 100 pounds in recent years.
But what Iām most proud of isnāt just the weight sheās lostāitās what sheās learned along the way.
Sheri has dedicated herself to learning the different phases and waves of training, understanding how her body moves, and learning how to eat to support performance.
We get stuck asking:
āIs this going to make me thinner?ā
And sometimes we forget what happens when we stop chasing the fastest result and simply commit to doing the work.
We learn.
We get better.
When we get better, we change.
When we change, we feel better about ourselves.
And when we feel better, we tend to make better decisions for ourselves.
Thatās behavior changeānot strict dieting, punishment, or sacrificing everything to get what we want right now.
Recently, Sheri told me she wants to get stronger and more powerful.
After nearly two years of developing movement patterns, building stronger bones and connective tissue, and progressively preparing her body, sheās earned the ability to train that way.
Today:
š„ Built to a 190-lb trap-bar deadlift single
š„ Developed upper-body power with landmine push press & jerks
š„ Finished by attacking a 1,000-meter row for time
A great workout isnāt necessarily about how many exercises you can cram into an hour or how fast you can move.
Thereās a time and place for that.
The better question is:
Did we create the stimulus that moves you progressively forward?
Because getting a little better, over and over again, is what eventually changes everything.
65. Stronger. More capable. Still progressing.
Thatās what matters. šŖš»
