•Colorado River still under full day voluntary closure from above Dotsero to Rifle

•Rains have created mudslide near Redstone & Marble, continue to check the Glenwood Springs gauge for clarity. Looks to be trending clearer but rains expected through Sunday.

•Roaring fork is floatable from Carbondale to 2 rivers

•Booking Floats and Wade trips

•The Roaring Fork River has some of the lowest late summer flows we’ve seen in decades. Fishing will be technical and approach is key
•Temps are reaching 68F on the Roaring Fork near Glenwood around 5PM! Check temps if you choose to fish around then.
•We are still booking guided trips throughout the fall and winter
•Frying pan is holding at 70CFS

Roaring fork River, Frying Pan, & The Colorado River

•Colorado River from Statebridge area to Rifle are under FULL DAY VOLUNTARY CLOSURE
•Ruedi has significantly reduced outflow to 70CFS in the last five days
•Flows between Basalt & Glenwood Springs on the Roaring Fork at at Winter Flows between 150-350CFS
•Wading and Floating is still good and water temps are still 55-63F

Breaking News!

•CPW is lifted the Roaring Fork Voluntary afternoon closure starting THURSDAY AUGUST 20 from Carbondale to the CO River Confluence.

•Full day Voluntary fishing closure still exists on the CO River From Dotsero to Rifle and temps are still harmful to the fish

•Ruedi Reservoir is releasing 500CFPS of water into the frying pan

•Water levels in the Roaring Fork River are ~700 in Glenwood Springs and ~600 near Basalt below the Confluence of the frying pan and Roaring Fork Rivers
