Wimbledon comes to The Club at Golden Valley!

Last week, we transformed our new Varner Lawn area into a beautiful grass tennis court for the special Wimbledon Grass Court Exhibition event.

Members and their families enjoyed an afternoon watching tennis exhibitions featuring some of the area’s best players, eating classic English bites, fresh strawberries & cream, the famous Pimm’s Cups, and relaxing courtside from lawn chairs and blankets.

It was a perfect day celebrating the tradition of the game with friends and family.

A special thank you to our own Mike Laurel and his team for helping create this memorable event!

A Labor Day Hole-in-One! Congratulations to 10-year-old Henry Englemeier on his first ever ace today!

We are excited and incredibly proud to share that GV member Andy Stahlman is the 2026 MGA Mid-Amateur Champion!

Andy came through in an incredible way on the last hole of the tournament, sinking a roughly 60-foot bending putt to win the championship by one stroke! Incredible!

Congratulations, Andy! What an amazing accomplishment and an unforgettable way to finish! We are so proud to have you represent Golden Valley!

Both players are representing The Club at Golden Valley!

There are 202 golfers in this competition. Round two begins this morning, followed by a cut to 60 players for the final round on Wednesday.

Jesse won this competition in 2023!
