Slide 1

Protein does more than build muscle.

Here’s why it matters →

Slide 2

YES, PROTEIN SUPPORTS MUSCLE. 💪

Protein provides amino acids your body uses to build and repair muscle tissue.

Especially important when paired with strength training.

Slide 3

BUT THAT’S NOT ITS ONLY JOB.

Protein is involved in the structure and function of tissues throughout your body.

Slide 4

IT CAN ALSO HELP WITH SATIETY.

Protein-containing meals can help you feel fuller and more satisfied—which can make balanced eating easier to maintain.

Slide 5

IT SUPPORTS RECOVERY.

Training creates a demand for recovery.

Adequate protein gives your body the building blocks needed for tissue repair and adaptation.

Slide 6

AND IT’S NOT JUST FOR ATHLETES.

Protein matters across different ages, activity levels, and goals.

You don’t have to be trying to “bulk” to prioritize it.

Slide 7

Think beyond the protein shake.

Build meals around quality protein sources throughout your day.

Muscle is part of the story—not the whole story.

When you hear “protein,” you probably think muscle. 💪

And yes—protein plays an important role in building, maintaining, and repairing muscle.

But its role in the body goes beyond what happens in the gym.

Protein provides amino acids your body uses throughout the body, contributes to tissue repair and recovery, and can help meals feel more satisfying.

And you don’t have to be an athlete or trying to build a significant amount of muscle to make protein a priority.

The bigger question is how much you need based on your goals, activity, and overall nutrition.

Two people can have the same goal and need very different training plans.

Your experience, schedule, movement ability, preferences, injuries or limitations, and starting point all influence what an effective program looks like for you.

That’s why personalized training isn’t about making every workout completely different.

It’s about having a purpose behind what you’re doing and being able to adjust the plan as you progress.

Your goals are personal. Your training should be too. 💪

We help you find an approach that meets you where you are and helps you move forward.

“Personalized wellness” is everywhere right now but what does it actually mean?

To us, it starts with understanding you.

Your goals. Your lifestyle. Your starting point. And what you’re actually trying to improve.

From there, tools like genetic testing, bloodwork, and body composition data can provide additional information and context.

But data alone isn’t the plan.

The next step is turning that information into practical priorities around nutrition, habits, supplements, recovery, training, and other wellness support—and then continuing to learn and adjust along the way.

That’s the approach behind Apex Wellness.

More information. Less guessing. A clearer path built around you.

Fall has a way of making us feel like it’s time to get everything back on track.

New routine. New diet. More workouts. Earlier mornings. Perfect habits.

But your health reset doesn’t have to ne extreme to be effective.

Instead, use the change of season as an opportunity to get back to a few basics you can realistically maintain.

🏋️ Strength train consistently
🚶 Move throughout your day
🥗 Prioritize balanced nutrition
💧 Hydrate
😴 Give recovery the attention it deserves

The goal isn’t to have a perfect September.

It’s to build habits you’ll still be doing in October, November, and beyond.

Labor Day weekend is a good reminder that there’s more to life than your workout schedule.

Cookouts happen. Trips happen. Busy weeks happen. And none of them mean you’ve “fallen off.”

A good fitness routine should be flexible enough to work alongside the rest of your life.

Some weeks you’ll train more. Some weeks you’ll train less. What matters is having habits you can come back to without feeling like you need to start over every time life gets busy.

Fitness should support your life—not take it over. 💪

Enjoy the long weekend, keep moving when you can, and we’ll see you back in the gym.

What actually happens after you join Apex Wellness?

It starts with understanding you, your goals, your starting point, and what you’re hoping to improve.

From there, your path may include:

🧬 Testing — Depending on your program, this may include genetics, bloodwork, and body composition testing.

🔎 Understanding — We help you make sense of the information and identify patterns, priorities, and what may be worth tracking.

📝 Personalizing — Your recommendations may include nutrition and habits, supplements, recovery, training, and provider-guided wellness options when appropriate.

➡️ Implementing — Then it’s time to put your plan into action, with the level of coaching and accountability that comes with your program.

Because getting more information is only useful if you know what to do with it.

Less guessing. More clarity. A path built around you.

Do you need to strength train every day to get stronger? Nope.

Strength training creates the challenge, but your body also needs time between workouts to recover and adapt.

That’s why adding another workout isn’t always the answer.

How often you should strength train depends on things like your goals, experience, how your workouts are structured, and how much recovery you’re getting between sessions.

For some people, that may mean a few well-planned strength sessions each week. For others, a higher training frequency may make sense.

The important part isn’t trying to fit in as many workouts as possible.

It’s making sure the workouts you are doing have a purpose and that your overall program gives you an appropriate balance of training and recovery.

Train with purpose. Recover with purpose. Repeat.

Morning? Before your workout? After your workout? Before bed? ⏰

There’s a lot of advice about the “best” time to take supplements but the answer really depends on what you’re taking and why you’re taking it.

For some supplements, timing, food, or other factors can matter. For others, consistency is much more important than whether you take them at 8 AM or 8 PM.

But before worrying about perfect timing, there’s an even more important question:

Do you actually need the supplement in the first place?

At Apex Wellness, we believe supplement support should be simple, goal-based, quality-focused, and matched to the bigger picture, not another part of wellness that feels overwhelming.

The goal isn’t to take more. It’s to better understand what makes sense for you.
