Alum, , made her debut for the during their game, this past weekend! We were ecstatic to see a former Orerugger playing rugby at the professional level, and even more excited to see so much of the Mines Rugby family out to support our local professional rugby team! It’s always great to see former and current players together.

Happy President’s Day weekend, where some of our current players and program alumni won the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. Gulls, Pioneers, Orediggers, Warriors Eye DIII Crown The Women’s DIII semifinals take center stage Saturday at SaberCats Stadium in Houston, TX, as Endicott faces East Stroudsburg at 12 p.m. CT, preceded by Wisconsin-Platteville versus Colorado School of Mines at 10 a.m. CT. Saturday’s winners advance to Sunday’s final at 12 p.m.

Marianna Moreau (Trench): Communications Officer and Backs Captain

Now in her 4th year with Mines Rugby, Trench plays fullback, known for her clutch defensive, game-saving tackles and powerful offensive runs!

Off the pitch, Marianna stays busy as a Peer Mentor, participating in intramural sports, and getting outdoors to set up her hammock. She also enjoys learning guitar and expressing her creativity through painting.

Whitney Madler: Fundraising

Now in her 3rd year with Mines Rugby, Whitney plays ho**er, dominating the scrum and bringing a loud, energetic presence to the field!

Off the field, Whitney is studying Mechanical Engineering on the aerospace track with a minor in Physics (aka she’s very smart). If her challenging course load wasn’t enough, she’s also involved in Kappa Alpha Theta, AIAA, and SWE, and loves making art in her free time! 🎨

Emma Acker (Slacker): Co-VP of Fundraising

Now in her 3rd year with Mines Rugby, Slacker plays inside center, delivering amazing passes and playmaking skills that are key to our offense. She’s rock solid on defense too, making her a critical part of our center backline.

Off the field, Slacker is a Mechanical Engineering major. She enjoys camping, skiing, line dancing, and making spoon rings. She’s also traveled abroad for two summers—Ms Worldwide!
