As a new month approaches, I think about the past month — the highs, lows, and everything in between — along with where to take things in the month ahead.
When it comes to social media, I’ve felt stuck recently — at a bit of a crossroad with where to take .
The vision is clear: I want to coach athletes to reach their full potential; I want to bring women together by hosting group runs and retreats, breaking down barriers and creating an inclusive community; I want to develop a scholarship fund for girls and help them foster a healthy relationship with running through educational workshops and events.
And yet, the action taken to truly move the needle? Not a lot, if I’m being honest (aside from coaching, which has been at the forefront recently and hosting monthly group runs).
With a 9-5 day job, attending to a new home, investing more into personal relationships, and juggling the other buckets in life (all of which I very much appreciate), the dream of SRC seems out of reach sometimes. And honestly, the social media aspect (numbers, followers, reels, reach — a crucial part of the puzzle) feels straight up overwhelming.
What I love most about SRC is connecting other women, empowering them to go after their goals, and fostering a healthy relationship with sport — much of which happens in the real world, over conversations and connections, not necessarily over boxes on Instagram.
All this to say, if you’re feeling overwhelmed by a goal (particularly around your purpose), break it down into chunks:
-Who are you serving?
-What are you doing to help?
-Why are you doing it?
While that doesn’t answer the “How” piece, it has made me realize how simple the answer can be when we remember these three things. For the “How,” I’d ask yourself: what is the single next step you need to take?
For me today, as simple as it may be, that is announcing our next group run.
Join this Friday morning at 6:15am from Apex Park! We’ll do a 4-5 mile loop and enjoy some beautiful Fall foliage 🍁 All paces are welcome! Be sure to bring a headlamp.

Thumbs up for Fall leaves poppin’ and good races all-around🍁 🤙
‘Tis the season for friends + athletes crushing races ( in the RRR100 which I had the pleasure of pacing and in the Philly Half this morning, to name a few)!
It’s also turning into the season for pumpkin spice, cozy sweaters, soups and stews, craft nights, community giving events, and more strength training sessions in prep for next year’s races.
As for my race season? Wrapping up, I have the Four Pass loop on my radar in a few weeks, along with Deadhorse 50k. Aside from that, am excited to shift focus towards community, career, and other aspects of life, while continuing to enjoy the softer sides of this beautiful sport.

Pull-ups — a skill many of us want to be able to do (whether it’s one or lots of them!), but a tough exercise for many of us!
If you ask many people what their goals are in the gym, you will find they often want to do a pull-up or want to improve them (and often are a bit unsure how).
I have even noticed some women have written it off because they don’t think it’s possible. I am here to tell you: it 100% is! That is a goal we can get you to, if you want to get there.
To assist with that, I am hosting a workshop this week to help you get your first (or next rep) for pull-ups!
Details below:
Title: Get Your First Pull-up!
Date/time: Thursday September 15th, 5:30-6:30 pm (Movement Gyms - Golden)
Price: $30: includes 30 day program
Have you always wanted to get your first pull-up, or perhaps improve on the number you can do? Join this interactive and informative workshop that will include specific exercises to improve on your pull-up technique and individualized feedback. Everyone deserves to run in peace.
And yet, that is far from our reality.
I don’t have many words to share this week other than what has been shared, but it is crushing to hear about the murder of Eliza, a woman simply out for her morning run and the experiences of so many others who face safety concerns daily while running or outdoors.
For others who shared more on this: read ‘s recent post — people of color often face these fears day in and day out. While no one’s story is more or less than another’s, we ought to be giving recognition to the fact that this is far from okay.
As far as the conversation of safety while running, this seems to be a recurring theme we can’t rid ourselves of, particularly as women. ‘s recent article on safety sheds light on this fact — it’s about time we did something to actually address it.
Everyone has a right to run safely.
How can we make this a reality?

There’s often pressure after a big run or race to get right back into it — to double down on fixing the mistakes made, applying the lessons learned, and attending to the “What’s next?” from other people — or even from yourself.
We don’t celebrate rest and recovery far enough. And yet, this is a crucial part of the equation in training — as well as within a season of running or life to give our minds and bodies the rest they deserve and require to perform at their best.
Today was my longest run since the Leadville 100 two weeks ago and still quite a bit shorter than usual. I’m not signed up for any races the remainder of this year, just eyeing a potential 50k in November, a road marathon next Spring, and some fun adventures along the way.
I find that during this time, focusing on enjoyment is key to sustainability long-term. No pressure, no strict schedule, and a level of ease in my approach to training.
This is something I also encourage (unstructured training) for 7-14 days post-race (for “A” races or marathon+ distances) with athletes I coach.
Curious to know: How do you make time for R&R, both within your week and your year? Let’s make this worth celebrating!

A few years ago, if you asked me whether I’d run 100 miles, I would have said no way.
Now, a week after finishing my first hundred (Leadville 100), I’m asking myself when the next time is that I’ll be toeing another start line — and scouting our my next one for the year ahead.
Is there a big goal you are excited for, scared of, or maybe just need a little guidance and encouragement towards? Reach out!
I offer run coaching, strength training programs, and much more to help get you to where you want to be — working alongside partners like .endurance + !
While a solid program and supportive coach is helpful, views like these certainly don’t hurt either (+ good company). 🤗
And if you’re looking for good company, is partnering up with of for a fundraiser run to support the fight against cancer for children. 🙏 💛 6:15am from North Table with raffle prizes and giveaways!

It wasn’t pretty nor perfect, but it turned into a special first 100.
The day started off strong — a headache that went away, zero stomach issues, fueling + hydrating early and often, lots of smiles and a solid pace.
Hope Pass went well, as I came into mile 50 within ~10.5 hours feeling like a BOSS and shocking myself as the 6/7th place female going for a 24-25 hour finish time. All I can say is, that didn’t last long 😅
From there, I picked up my first pacer at Twin and proceeded to battle some major blisters, locked up quads, and too much time trying to get warm in the medic tent at mile 72, lending itself to a few hours delayed finish time.
Let’s just say the motto “keep moving” rang true, as my pace slowed and I worked alongside my amazing pacers and crew to continue driving towards the finish line, even when it meant shuffling along on tired legs.
Super grateful for and the rest of this crew for keeping me going even during the tough moments. It truly takes a village and I couldn’t be more grateful for you all! 💛

Stoked to toe the line at Leadville 💯 tomorrow morning
💛
This is one big goal and although it’s a personal one, it requires much more than just me to achieve. I am forever grateful for an incredible crew ( ) + so many others who have supported, inspired me throughout the training along the way. 🙏
Time to put it all into practice 💪
Good luck to and so many others out there racing!!! Can’t wait to share some high-five’s out there and stories afterward. 🙌 💫
📍 Ute, Arapahoe, and Cheyenne Lands.
Not sure what land you are on? Head over to and learn more — I encourage everyone to take a moment to support this work, donate, + educate yourself on the Native lands we run on)!

Can’t believe it’s already Leadville week! 🙌🙈
This will be my first 100-miler — a slightly daunting, yet achievable goal I have set for myself and can’t wait to put all of my training — running, nutrition, and mindset — to the test. .
No matter the outcome, I’m stoked to give it my all alongside some awesome friends raving, crewing, and pacing out there.
No matter where we come from or want to go, a large part of continual growth in life happens from getting outside our comfort zone, whether that be training for a race, venturing into an unexplored career path, or trying something new in life.
Consider this your reminder to keep pushing those boundaries and leveling up your vision of what’s possible. We don’t know until we try!
LT100 locals and those coming into town — Who else will be out there? Can’t wait to see some familiar (and new) faces! 😊

One of the most surprising realizations I had when getting into trail running —
A lot of times trail “running” means hiking — like, A LOT… even for top runners in the sport, you’d be surprised to find out how much they power hike, especially over steeper mountains, higher vertical grades and longer races like ultramarathons.
So, this is your permission to walk or hike when you need to, allow yourself to slow down. Keep that heart rate and perceived exertion in check.
Sure, there is power in increasing turnover and going hard with hill repeats so that you can run more efficiently uphill — but be willing to give yourself full permission to hike as needed. You are still a trail runner. It still counts.
And if you’re looking for a great group to power hike + run with, join the crew this Friday morning at 6:15am from the main Green Mountain lot (DM me for details). 4-6 mile route — all paces welcome, no runners left behind. 🙌💫

Love this love bug ❤️ and time with friends + budding other connections.
I led a workshop the other night on finding + building community with .endurance and it made me incredibly grateful of the community I’ve built here in Colorado.
It’s been just over a year here and yet, it’s been one of the most rewarding in terms of relationships built and connections I’ve formed.
Whether it was reaching out on IG, showing up to a group run where I knew no one, or walking up to someone in a race, a lot of these connections involved taking the first step.
Reaching out can be awkward, intimidating, and straight up nerve-wracking, but it is 100% worth doing.
Wherever you are in your journey of finding community, I encourage you to think: Where can you tap into your existing community? What are areas of opportunity to grow or try something new? How can you expand it?
📸: // grateful for you and so many others here in CO!
More recently , , , , , .febbraro , , , , and of course the list goes on… if we haven’t run or hung out together in a while, let’s pencil something in!
Also — 4-6 mile run on Friday at 6:15am next week at Green Mountain in Lakewood! DM me for trailhead info.

Thumbs up for almost being taper time! 🤙
17 days until I hit the start line of Leadville 100, and couldn’t be more stoked!
It’s been an amazing summer of training. Now, I’m focused on crushing fueling, recovery, and sleep — plus the logistics of this being my first race with a crew and pacers.
It’s also been a great summer being a part of athletes journeys as a coach — so much progress made, from 5k / 10k PR’s to first 25k and ultra experiences!
A few calls to action for each of you:
If you are interested in coaching (running, strength training, or both), I have a few spots on my 1:1 roster currently open! All ability levels, paces, and backgrounds are welcome with open arms. 🙌
In addition, I am hosting a Women Talk Wellness event tonight on building community! Come join us!!
Lastly, if you’re looking for a way to give back, be sure to check out the team at Running with Purpose and donate / contribute / take classes with foundation. It’s important to learn about the indigenous lands we run on and support the great work happening to continue to recognize these lands.
And bonus — there will be a First Fridays run (moved to next week, August 12th!) for at 6:15am from Green Mountain Rooney Road Lot. Mark your calendars if you’d like to join us! 4-6 mile route details and more info to come.
