Who Was Your Favorite SNL Actor/ Actress? ๐ค. ๐ค. ๐ค
Gilda Radner was BORN ON THIS DATE in 1946 (d. 1989). ๐ As one of the original "Not Ready for Prime Time Players," she quickly became one of the show's breakout stars. Her charactersโlike the endlessly enthusiastic Roseanne Roseannadanna and the awkward, lovable Lisa Loopnerโhelped define the early years of SNL and showed just how fearless and original her comedy could be.
But what made Gilda so special wasn't just that she was funny. There was a warmth and vulnerability to her performances that made audiences feel like they knew her.
Before Saturday Night Live, Radner performed with the famed improvisational comedy troupe The Second City in Toronto, where she worked alongside future comedy legends including John Candy and Eugene Levy.
Though her life was tragically cut short in 1989, Gilda's influence on comedy remains enormous. Many of today's female comedians cite her as one of their biggest inspirations.
She wasn't just one of the first stars of SNL. She helped prove that a woman could be every bit as bold, silly, and brilliantly offbeat as anyone else on the stage.
๐ Do you remember watching Gilda Radner during the early days of Saturday Night Live? ๐บโค๏ธ๐ What was your favorite skit of hers??

On a Trivia Tuesday... What Beer ๐บ Do YOU Think ๐ค a Bear ๐ป Would Like the Best? ๐บ. ๐บ. ๐บ
A black bear once held a beer tasting and chose violence against Busch.
In 2004, at Baker Lake Resort in Washington, the bear raided coolers, punctured cans with its claws and teeth, then crushed 36 Rainiers like a furry local legend.
Workers found it passed out in a tree, surrounded by empties, having ignored the Busch like it had personal standards.
When wildlife agents set a trap, they baited it with doughnuts, honey, and two fresh Rainiers.
It came back.
Some bears chase salmon. This one chased a brand identity.

One year while driving up to see my life partner in Montana, I happened upon this scene. Quite smitten with my new friend, I lost all sense of reason and only snapped this with my phone (when indeed I had real cameras and lenses to do the job!) I have driven by this many times again and never seen it again. Truly kick myself every time!
Have a good day!

Salida, Colorado
Smoky sunset on Monday. The glow on the railroad tracks looked pretty neat and made me stop here to take this photo. Wishing for lots of rain though.
