Cleaning out your attic, garage, or storage shed? We'd love to give your Christmas decorations, lights, inflatables, wreaths, and other holiday décor a new home!

The Kiwanis Miniature Train would be happy to take your unwanted items to make our Christmas train rides even more magical for the children and families who visit Herman Park this year. Your donations will help us create bigger smiles, brighter memories, and even more holiday fun throughout the season.

Step into the sights, sounds, and stories of 1776 with the Wayne Community College Foundation! 🇺🇸

Join us in downtown Goldsboro for Step Into 1776, an immersive living history event celebrating America250. Experience reenactors traveling from across North Carolina, live weapons demonstrations, colonial crafts, drinks at the Colonial Tavern, and flavors inspired by the Revolutionary era.

Bring the whole family for this one-of-a-kind experience—all ages welcome! Cap off the evening with a screening of the classic film 1776. Don’t miss your chance to step back in time!

We never like having to cancel train operations, and we truly appreciate your understanding and support. We'll be back on the tracks as soon as temperatures make it safe for our volunteers and our guests. Until then, enjoy your weekend, stay cool, and don't forget to stay hydrated!

For the safety of the public and our volunteers, the train will NOT run this weekend (June 27-28) due to forecasted heat indexes exceeding 100 degrees.
