Ten years ago, 12-year-old Kyle Ferro lined up for the 50m dash at the Special Olympics. Just seconds into the race, he fell face-first onto the track. But instead of staying down, Kyle got back up and crossed the finish line with a huge smile.

That single moment revealed something powerful: Kyle’s spirit of resilience and his ability to rise — no matter how hard the fall.

It’s this same spirit that continues to inspire everything we do at Kyle’s Kitchen. As we celebrate our 10-year anniversary, this moment reminds us why we started — to create a place that celebrates individuals with special needs, advocates for their inclusion, and supports their growth.

Kyle’s courage that day continues to be the foundation of who we are at Kyle’s Kitchen. His determination and resilience inspire our mission and guide everything we do. What began as Kyle’s story has become our story — a reminder of the strength, courage, and spirit of the special needs community we’re proud to serve and support.

We’re honored to once again partner with @sosocal @sosc_santabarbara Special Olympics Santa Barbara as our quarterly giveback partner. Over the past decade, we’ve given back more than $300,000 to the special needs community — and we’re just getting started. We couldn’t be more excited to continue this mission alongside such an empowering organization, uplifting and supporting individuals with special needs every step of the way.

💪 Tag someone who inspires you to get back up — or share your own story and tag us using #KyleGetsBackUp #IGetBackUpAgain We’d love to celebrate your resilience too ❤️ 09/27/2025
