Tournament Recap: Outstanding Performance by the Team
I want to extend my sincere gratitude to all of our competitors, families, and supporters who came out to represent our academy today. I am incredibly proud of the work ethic, discipline, and sportsmanship everyone displayed on the mats.
A special thank you goes to our seasoned parents, who stepped up to mentor and guide our first-time competitors through the tournament process. That level of team leadership is exactly what makes our community strong. I am also highly grateful to our coaching staff your dedication and mat-side guidance were instrumental to today's success.
Our athletes delivered strong performances across the board against tough competition, earning the following placements:
Kids No-Gi:2nd Place 🥈
Kids Gi:4th Place (missing the podium by just 4 points)
Adults No-Gi:3rd Place 🥉
Adults Gi:5th Place (just 4 points off the podium and 6 points from silver)
A Top Tier Academy Finish
Demonstrating the depth and growth of our program, we fell just 17 points short of the coveted Black Team trophy for best individual academy. Out of 74 registered academies, our team finished an impressive 2nd overall, and secured 3rd place in the overall event standings.
Additionally, congratulations to Kaitlyn, who stood out on the leaderboards by recording the 13th fastest submission of the entire tournament, securing a finish in just 16.8 seconds.
Thank you all for your continued commitment to excellence and for supporting this team. It is a true privilege to serve as your Professor. Let’s carry this momentum back into training as we prepare for the next one.
