Hillbilly Golf Fundraiser! Only 3 clubs allowed & No putters. Putters will be provided. $80 includes golf, prizes, dinner at Captains Quarters.

Tomorrow, Saturday September 12th is our 10th Annual Burtucky Open in memory of my son Joshua Sweers and 3 of his best friends Dan Schlosser, John Camilleri and Daniel Shedd who lost their lives together in a plane crash May 31st 2020. All 4 young men were graduates of Kettering University and FIJI brothers. This golf outing raised $120,000.00 in 5 years for a Kettering Scholarship in their memory. With our 40 plus volunteers and many sponsors we are reaching goals beyond our expectations. Thank you so much to my family, friends, sponsors, Goodrich Country Club, Captains Quarters and our volunteers for your support. Tomorrow will be a fun day as we golf in an unconventional outing and remember our boys.

Wow...Thank you to our sponsors for the 10th Annual Burtucky Open. 4 days from now will be golf day and the fun begins. We raised $120k in 5 years for the Kettering Scholarship and this will be year 6. This could not be accomplished without the support of our sponsors, donors and our awesome volunteers. I am truly blessed.

Wow!! All I can say is Cheyanne from Texas Roadhouse is an angel. They donated 104 goody bags for all our golfers, coupons for our Kettering volunteers, 4 packs of dinners for 2, a raffle basket and are working a Vegas hole at the outing. Please tell Texas Roadhouse thank you when you go for dinner and at their hole when you golf.

I'm looking for volunteers to work the Burtucky Open Saturday, September 12th. You would be on a hole or a tee at 7:30 am all day at the Goodrich Country Club then heading to Captains Quarters in Burton till about 5pm. You get hot dogs for lunch and a nice dinner at Captains with chances to win prizes. I would love your help. Bring a chair a tent and a friend to keep you company.

Very big thank you to Kickers Sports Bar and Grille for their donation of gift cards today. The team that wins this prize is gonna love it.
Also a big thank you to Ken at Fernco for donating 4 pull behind coolers. Another nice team gift that you are gonna love.
Don't forget to pick up your teams baby bottle (1 per team) and band aid box (1 per team) as the prizes are awesome!

Burtucky Open golfers:
Money is due before August 12th.
Bring money for the special surprises.
Also reminder to the golfers of this years rules.
1)No golf shoes
2)No golf shirts
3)Can only bring 3 clubs per person
4)Bring No putters they are provided
5 )no moving props on holes
6) use items laid by tee box for teeing off ex mini solo cups
7)Take $ for extra chances for bigger prizes on the course
8)closest to eye us Josh Sweers rememberance hole and is a 1 shot chance with special ball for our 10th Annual Burtucky Open
9) no bribing or cheating except for the John Camilleri hole. John's parents run that hole. The only hole bribery is allowed.
Have fun..our scholarship total is up to $110k.
We have a $10k hole in 1 and 2 other hole in ones with big prizes.
