The ability to focus on task-relevant cues associated with a lift will often times have a positive effect on an athlete, thus creating a consistent environment to become more skilled and confident. This is one of the greatest goals as a strength coach IMO.
Coaching goes beyond sets and reps. Strength coaches must emphasize the details that creates optimal movement patterns for sport and life. On the other side to the coin, awareness in knowing when to back off and let an athlete “feel it” and self organize is just as critical. Verbal and nonverbal cues can make or break progress in the athletic development process. Choose wisely.
The process may not always be perfect but there’s a certain beauty in the struggle that makes every success that much sweeter.
Be a part of something bigger than yourself.

Team Freeman 18 Gold 2018-2019.
Had a ton of fun and gained a lot of experience working with this team on a consistent basis. This was one of the first teams in which I was able to create a year round softball program.
We won’t be outworked. Missing these moments w/ Team Freeman 14 Blue.
