Raise your hand if no amount of goat cheese is ever enough goat cheese.

Made this super simple snack today.

I went by eye & taste, so I don’t have exact measurements for you, but here’s the rough recipe:

✨4 Campari tomatoes
Slice in 1/2 and scoop out the middle
✨Roughly 2oz. of garlic & herb goat cheese
✨Fresh dill (I use… A LOT because I love dill)
✨The tiniest amount of honey (legitimately like 2 drops)
*Mix the goat cheese, dill and honey in a small bowl) then load it into your maters.
✨Balsamic glaze drizzle

I used to hate goat cheese (or he afraid of if), but over the past couple of years, I’ve absolutely fallen in love with it.

I haven’t set a fitness goal in for a hot minute now.

While living in the RV, I was definitely more active than ever - hiking and paddle boarding as often as humanly possible.

Then moving into our new home, going to Niagara Falls and being a tourist in Toronto - I have been moving my body A LOT for the past 2.5-3 months.

But I haven’t done a single structured workout in over 4 months now.🫠

No gym, no lifting, no body weight strength workouts… nada.

I’m not traveling at all the rest of July and I can FEEL the impact of not working out for the past few months, so it’s time to kick things up a notch.

I wrote down my workout goals at the beginning of the month and did what always motivates me most… I made a tracker.

Honestly… very few things in life motivate me more than having a tracker to fill in.

Clearly - the first part of the month didn’t start super strong. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Between road tripping for 3 days, having a 4 day migraine and getting settled back in after traveling for 2 weeks - my tracker was out of sight, out of mind.

But here we are. It’s the 11th of the month. My tracker is in my bullet journal and in my face so I’ll see it every single day.

I’m going to 💥CRUSH💥 my workout goals this month. 👊🏼

Yes, even though it’s the 11th and I’m not “on pace” to achieve the goals I had originally set for the month. Sure, I could scrap those goals, tear the page out of my BUJO and decide to set a new goal for August. But that’s just not how I roll. The 11th - 31st is PLENTY of time to get after it.

I did a Balance workout by to start the day, then followed it up with a light jog around my neighborhood. ✅

I can’t wait to show you my tracker at the end of the month. Stay tuned.

I’ve never been a “morning person” but mornings on this patio are quickly becoming the highlight of my days.

I’ve been fully anti-alarm clock for a couple of years now, only setting one on very rare occasions and allowing myself to wake up whenever my body is ready to wake up (which could be 8am or noon… very inconsistent and unpredictable, but that still felt better than using an alarm).

But in this new home, I positioned my bed in line with the window and keep the shades open, so the sunrise is what gently wakes me up each morning and I cannot tell you how GOOD that feels.

Every part of me is happy to wake up and start the day and to get out into the sunshine, first thing.

If you had told past Kathie at ANY point in time that she’d be waking up at 5:15am with the sunrise and immediately going outside to just sit in the quiet and enjoy the sun… she’d have told you that you were bats**t crazy.

But here we are.

I learned a while ago to stop trying to predict who I’m going to become, what my next evolution will be or what life will look like and instead to just enjoy the moment and let myself become whichever iteration of me is meant to come next. I never would have predicted sunrise wake up calls, caring more about keeping my baby lemon tree alive than about launching my next program or having a calendar that’s 85% empty and only working 10ish hours per week while still bringing in income I used to only ever dream of.

But again… here we are.

Don’t get me wrong. Each previous chapter was fu***ng amazing too. And I’m so grateful for the chapter where I worked a billion hours per week and had way too many clients and was burning the candle at both ends, but having a ton of fun and realizing that I really could create something incredible.

But 2022…
New state.
New home.
New business model.
New dreams.
New projects.
New goals.

I said it in January and I meant it…

2022 is a whole new vibe.

✨WE MOVED INTO AN RV!✨

*I haven’t written a proper IG caption in so long, and I have to much to catch you up on - I’m really struggling over what to write.*

So, let’s just start with a simple, straightforward update on the move.

I’ve spent the past 8 weeks pretty much uprooting every single aspect of my life & turning the page to start a whole new chapter.

I sold 90% of my possessions, sold my house, sold my car, packed up, drove across the country with Chris, my dad and the pups & hopped into an RV!
🤗My dream come true.🤗

If you’ve been here for any length of time, you know that this is MY dream… NOT 🫠

So, we compromised to make it happen.

✨We’re living RV life for 1 month in a rented RV.
✨We’re bouncing around Arizona & heading to the Grand Canyon throughout May.
✨During our time in RV, we’re looking for a home to rent in AZ.
✨We hope to find a place we can rent for 6 months.
✨After 6 months, the plan is to repeat - get into another RV for 1 month, go somewhere else (Colorado, Utah & California have all been discussed) & ind another home to rent for another 6 months.
✨And then in 6 months… repeat.
*All the while, trying to get Chris to fall in love with RV life so we can just move into one full time for a year. 😉

I’ve dreamt of being a nomad since I was a teenager.

But like so many of our lifelong soul dreams… I let that dream take a backseat to other practical priorities like buying my own home at 25, living close to my family, building stability & security in my career, paying off my mortgage & never having to rent, etc.

My soul has always CRAVED being a wanderer, but my mind was convinced that certainty, stability & security were more valuable.

Until I felt TRAPPED.

I built a life that, on paper, was absolutely fu***ng delightful. And I’m still so proud of myself for that.

But I spent 2021 in pure misery… feeling trapped & suffocated by everything I had worked so hard for.

And as it did for so many people - the 🌎 🦠 situation shone a bright fu***ng spotlight on everything & illuminated (in the most painful way possible), what needed to change in my life.

Our relationship might be unconventional, but that doesn’t make our love for one another any less real, significant or life changing.

And I just realized today that the commitment we’ve both made to building a life together, on our own terms, regardless of what anyone else thinks our relationship “should” be… is probably the ultimate act of self love for us both.

We first connected over mutual life problems and related to one another over similar life struggles, hiccups and failures. Before meeting, we each allowed what other people thought about us to significantly impact our actions and life decisions. We each hid our real selves from so many people around us. We were both pursuing goals and life paths that were never truly our own.

And here we are, 7 years later, each doing exactly what we want and what makes sense to us, boldly and proudly, without letting anyone else’s doubts, judgements or projections stand in our way. That is REAL self love. And I’m so proud of us both.

I can’t help but wonder how true that would I be, if we had never met.

So grateful for you - our amazing life together, our sweet pups, all of the adventures we’ve been on and will go on in the future and having you by my side, day and and day out.

Thank you for helping me love myself more, for challenging me, supporting me and being on this ride with me.

I love you so much and appreciate you today and every single day. I legitimately do not know where I’d be right now without you.

Thanks for being the best life partner I could ask for.

I promised myself I would post on Feb. 1st

I had grand ideas for an epic return to social media with a mind blowing post that would have you saying, “Oh shiiiiit, I’m so glad she’s back! I LOVE her posts! I’m turning on post notifications right now & sharing her profile with EVERRRYYYYONE I know!”

Weeellllllp…

It’s Feb. 1st & I haven’t created the epic content I had envisioned… and it’s 10:27pm.

FAAACK!

I could just skip it & make it my top priority to get up early tomorrow and post something awesome. Nobody would care. Nobody was expecting me to post today. I didn’t promise anyone but myself.

“I didn’t promise anyone but myself.”

We do this s**t all the time!
We hold the commitments and promises we make to others on a pedestal. We make sure we follow through so we don’t let anyone down.

But then we let ourselves down with the commitments we make to ourselves, constantly.

WHYYYY??

When did we decide that the promises we make to ourselves are less important than the ones we make to everyone else??

Enough of that s**t!

Want to make more progress & gain more confidence in 28 days than you have in the last 6 months?

Decide today that you’ll keep your promises to yourself every damn day for the next month. SMALL promises.

➡️Make small commitments to yourself
➡️Choose to believe that your commitments to yourself MATTER

Post a photo of your pup, even though it’s not the epic content you had envisioned…

Do a 15 minute workout in the living room, even though it’s not the perfect hour long workout at the gym you had pictured…

Open your journal and write 1 sentence, even if it’s not the 10 page masterpiece you had imagined…

Sure, “something is better than nothing,” but MORE IMPORTANTLY- keeping your promises to yourself is the single most empowering thing you can do for yourself, for your goals and for your confidence, so hop to it!!

*We were out of town since right after Christmas, so yes… the tree is still up and I still feel jolly!

Here’s the real deal...⁣
A lot of people come to me saying they are confused by the entire macro thing.⁣

1. Macros = TYPES of calories. So, if you count macros, you’re automatically counting calories. It’s like a 2 for 1 special. ⁣

What does that mean?⁣

In short: If you want the scale to move and you don’t care what shape your body takes or if it’s “skinny-fat” then counting calories & doing cardio is fine.⁣

But if you want to lose weight because you want to be fit, feel firm, feel tighter, you want a nice b***y, and your arms to look good in that dress you’re wearing to a wedding, you don’t want to feel bloated & gross, etc. - then macros & strength training are what you NEED to be doing.⁣

So many people count calories, do all the cardio, drop some weight and end up feeling s**tty because they put in all this effort to lose weight and they still don’t feel confident.⁣

I did the same thing. I went from 211lbs to 175lbs and felt 0% more confident because I was flabby and jiggly.⁣

Then I started tracking macros & strength training and the look of my body COMPLETELY changed! ⁣

Cut calories + cardio = skinny fat / smaller but flabby.⁣

Macros + Strength = BANGIN body with a b***y!⁣

🙋‍♀️ Raise your hand if you are feeling personally victimized by the tightness of your jeans this morning…

They all say the same s**t, every damn time…
