SAVE THE DATE! Stop by the Millbury St. School Saturday June 20 for Big Truck Day from 10am - noon. Sensory friendly 10-11AM. Climb aboard vehicles from the Grafton Police Department - Massachusetts, Grafton MA Fire Department and DPW and others. It's always a fun time!

Join us as Fin & Feather from Upton leads the group in an evening paddle around Silver Lake. Individuals and families welcome. You may provide your own kayak or canoe and/or lifevest or rent and rentals will delivered onsite the night of the event which include lifevests and paddles. We Have Chosen Our Mural Artist!

After reviewing many wonderful submissions, we are excited to announce Sarah McPhetridge has been selected to create a custom mural on our office chalkboard wall!

👏 Congratulations, Sarah! 👏

We can't wait to see her creativity come to life. Sarah will be beginning work on the mural within the next couple of weeks, and we'll be sure to share photos of the finished masterpiece once it's complete.

Silver Lake Beach will be open for the season from June 13 - August 9, (weather-permitting) from 11am-6pm, 1pm - 6pm on Fridays. Season passes are available for Grafton residents and non-residents.

If you have an incoming 7th or 8th grader looking for an incredible, hands-on summer experience, this is it. Best of all? It’s completely FREE! 🔵👮‍♂️

In our continued efforts to increase inclusivity and accessibility in Grafton, we are SO excited to be the recipients of this SMILE Mass grant for a beach wheelchair!

💙🌊 Five Communities Selected. Hundreds More Families Impacted. 🌊💙

SMILE Mass is proud to announce the recipients of our 2026 Floating Beach Wheelchair Grant Program, helping create more inclusive beaches, ponds, and lakes throughout New England.

This year, floating beach wheelchairs will be heading to:

📍 Fairlee Town Beach – Fairlee, VT
📍 Silver Lake Beach – Grafton, MA
📍 Morses Pond – Wellesley, MA
📍 Silver Lake – Wilmington, MA
📍 Musante Beach – Northampton, MA

In addition, multiple chairs will be donated to the Town of Falmouth through funding from the Falmouth Road Race, and one chair will be donated to the State of New Hampshire in memory of Mary Houghton, thanks to the generosity of her family and friends.

Since launching this program, SMILE Mass has donated more than 180 floating beach wheelchairs to public beaches and ponds across New England, helping individuals with disabilities safely access the water, enjoy time with loved ones, and create lasting memories.

As Lotte Diomede, Founder and President of SMILE Mass, shared:

"These beach wheelchairs are about so much more than access to the water. They create opportunities for inclusion, dignity, independence, and family memories that many families often take for granted."

Every community selected this year demonstrated a commitment to making recreation accessible to all. Together, we are breaking down barriers and creating communities where everyone belongs — at the beach, on the water, and fully included in community life.
