Congratulations to our Regional Public Health Nurse, Bridget Hurley, MSN, RN, for receiving the Sheila Miller Memorial Public Health Nurse Award for her dedication to the field of public health nursing! 🎉

Bridget was granted this award at the 2026 Massachusetts Association of Public Health Nursing conference for her commitment both to the public health of Grafton residents, as well as her contributions to improved public health across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Bridget received the award for her efforts to foster collaboration and networking between public health nurses across Massachusetts through her creation of a Discord platform to facilitate communication and idea-sharing between municipalities. Her work has allowed public health nurses from across the state to connect with other public health professionals they may have otherwise been unable to engage with. Locally, she has also been committed to keeping the Central MA Regional Health Department’s towns of Shrewsbury, Grafton, and West Boylston informed about public health issues that uniquely affect our local community.

Our town truly is better for Bridget’s dedication to our community and to public health at large. Please join us in congratulating Bridget on her well-deserved receipt of this award! 👏
