Join members from the Graham Fire Department, Graham Police Department, and Recreation & Parks Departments on one Friday each month to connect, ask questions, and learn more about those serving you.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last night (09/12) for Toy Story at Movies in the Park! We hope you had a fantastic time! Next Saturday (09/19), we’re heading off on another adventure with Homeward Bound!

Join Graham Recreation & Parks on Saturday evenings throughout September for Movies in the Park! Movies begin around 7:30pm, depending on sunset. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, gather the family, and enjoy a FREE movie night under the stars!

Our concession tent will be open with popcorn, drinks, candy, and glow-in-the-dark necklaces available for purchase. Cash and VISA/Mastercard are accepted. The Park & Play Mobile Recreation Van will also be on-site with fun activities for the whole family!

REMINDER: Road Closure for the 9/11 Commemorative 5K Event

The City of Graham will host the annual 9/11 Commemorative 5K Run/Walk TODAY, Saturday, September 12. To keep participants, volunteers, and spectators safe, temporary road closures will be in place along portions of the race route. During this time, these areas will be fully closed to all traffic. Only emergency vehicles will be permitted access while the closure is in effect.

We appreciate your patience, understanding, and support as our community comes together to honor the heroes, remember the victims of September 11, and unite in remembrance through this meaningful event.

Please Plan Ahead - residents and businesses located along the race route are encouraged to:
• Plan travel before 8:00am or after 9:30am
• Move vehicles outside of the closure area if you need to leave during this timeframe
• Allow additional time for travel due to increased pedestrian and event activity

TOMORROW: 9/11 Commemorative 5K Event

The City of Graham presents the 6th annual 9/11 Commemorative 5K tomorrow, Saturday, September 12. Coordinated by Graham Recreation & Parks, the Graham Fire Department, and the Graham Police Department, this event honors the lives lost on September 11, 2001. It recognizes the courage and sacrifice of the First Responders and Military members who have served and continue to serve our communities and country. The 5K is more than a race. It is a time to remember, honor, and come together as a community while supporting families who have experienced the loss of a fallen hero.

Where to Park: Find available parking options at www.cityofgraham.com/parking • Carpooling is recommended.

Registration: Online registration has closed, but day-of registration will be available.

Donations: Donations will be collected for Children of Fallen Heroes, an organization that provides support and assistance with immediate needs for surviving spouses and children of fallen First Responders and Military heroes.

Please Note: The 9/11 Commemorative 5K is a rain-or-shine event.

WOW! Downtown Graham was hopping last night as music and dancing filled West Elm Street!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Thursdays at Seven Concert Series featuring the CC & Company BAND on September 10! From great music and dancing to beautiful weather and an incredible sunset, it was the perfect evening to enjoy Downtown Graham with friends and family.

We also want to extend a special thank you to the City of Graham NC Fire Department for proudly flying the American flag over the event as we remember September 11, 2001, and honor the resilience of our nation and the dedication of our first responders.

We hope you had a great time, and we can’t wait to see you again on Thursday, September 24, as we wrap up the 2026 Thursdays at Seven Concert Series with the Mason Lovette Band!

Spend some time at Graham-Mebane Lake and enjoy the fresh air, peaceful surroundings, and beautiful views. With fall just around the corner, a few trees around the lake are already beginning to show hints of autumn color.
