Brian's Baseball & Softball Glove Relacing

I’ve been doing a ton of gloves lately, but took a quick break because when a friend gets a puppy and names him Wilson, you have to help them out when they ask for some new dog tags.

I hate these wrist straps, they always end up giving the owner problems. I get asked quite often to fix them when they become loose and don’t stay tight anymore. In the past I have figured out ways to keep it tight by lacing it into the actual mitt. This is the first time I have had one tear completely. I was able to cut a piece of leather I had into shape and replace the broken strap. I think it looks very natural and is now tied tight so it won’t keep coming loose when she is using it.

Clean, condition, and full relace with his school colors. No need to buy a new glove when you can make it look and feel new for a fraction of the cost.

Eaten by a dog and assumed to be headed into the garbage, I got a message asking if there was anything to be done before he throws it away and buys a new one. I told him I had a couple ideas depending on what I could find on some donor gloves I have in the basement, and that if he didn’t mind how it looked I think I could Frankenstein it back together for him. If I may brag for a brief minute, it is now playable again, looks better than expected, and is surprisingly comfortable.

Right as the college season gets underway is not a good time for a glove to blowout, but I got this one cleaned, conditioned and relaced in team colors for a Mott CC player in less than 24 hours.
